Chandigarh, July 24- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that it is for the first time after formation of Haryana that any State government has taken the initiative and implemented the concept of e-registration to curb corruption in the tehsils. The step taken five years back has now started yielding positive results.
In order to minimize human intervention in the tehsils, it has now been decided to implement a centralized e-registration system, under which any person after submitting required documents would be able get registration done from any teshil, he added.
Mr Manohar Lal was addressing a press conference in Rohtak today. MP Rohtak, Dr. Arvind Sharma was also present on this occasion.
The Chief Minister said that the State Government started an e-registration system in the tehsils of the State five years ago on the occasion of Good Governance Day. He said that year 2020 is being celebrated as ‘Sushasan Sankalp Varsh’ under which all necessary processes are being simplified through the use of Information Technology.
On being asked about the allegations leveled by the opposition parties on law and order situation in the State, Mr Manohar Lal said that first they should look into the law and order situation that was prevailing in the State during their tenure before raising any question. He said that at present the law and order situation is better in the State as compared to earlier. He said that apart from further strengthening the police infrastructure, separate women police stations have been set up in the State. In addition, an adequate number of police personnel have been recruited in the state police force in a fair and transparent manner, he added.
The Chief Minister said that as far as the Corona Pandemic is concerned, Haryana is in a far better condition as compared to other States in the country as the recovery rate in Haryana is about 76 per cent. He said that in the event of an outbreak of this epidemic, we have all sufficient resources available to deal with it and added that the death rate in Haryana is very low as compared to other states.
He said that all necessary steps are being taken by the State Government to increase the recovery rate in the State. Four Plasma Banks have been set up at Rohtak, Panchkula, Gurugram and Faridabad and work is in progress on treatment to be done through plasma therapy. Apart from this, 20,000 beds have been kept reserved to deal with any emergency situation. He appealed to the people recovering from Corona infection to come forward and donate the plasma so that life of corona infected people could be saved.
The Chief Minister said that the State Government has been working in the interest of farmers. Under the Fasal Bima Yojana, full compensation is being given to the farmers in case of loss.
In reply to a question about Baroda by-election, the Chief Minister said that for Congress, this by-election can be a challenge but for us, it is an opportunity. He said that we will go to the public alongwith all our achievements made during the tenure so far. Today, the people are well aware and observe closely the work done by any government and this would benefit us, he further added.
He said that the State Government is giving due respect to the sports persons in the State according to their achievements. A sports policy has been formulated by the government to honor the outstanding sports persons under which provision of government jobs has also been made besides cash award.
Mr Manohar Lal was also presented with a cheque of Rs 10 lakh by Baba Jatinder Pal Singh Sodhi for the Haryana Corona Relief Fund on behalf of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Sikh Samparday, Bharat.
Among those present on this occasion included former Minister Mr Manish Kumar Grover, Deputy Commissioner Mr R.S. Verma and other senior officers of the district administration.
