Chandigarh, August 7 - The Haryana Sahitya Akademi has decided to declare Kriti Awards after the approval of Academy President, Mr. Manohar Lal. The decision of declaring the awards has been pending for several years.

The Akademi will be distributing the award prize money as per rules and information will be given to all the litterateurs regarding the same.

Giving information in this regard today, a spokesperson of the Haryana Sahitya Akademi said that the details will be sent digitally and through registered post as the Akademi is unsure regarding organizing a public function but after the circumstances become normal the litterateurs will be honoured at a public forum.

Revealing further details the spokesperson said that under Shresht Kriti Puraskar Yojana (2016) for Hindi literature, Mr. Harbhagwan Chawla from Sirsa will be awarded with Maithilisharan Gupt Shresht Kriti Puraskar (Poetry) for 'Isi Akash Mein', Mr. Vikesh Nijhavan, from Ambala will be awarded with Vishnu Prabhakar Shresht Kriti Puraskar (story / short story) for ‘Chuan Tatha Anya Kahaniya’, Dr. Usha Aggarwal from Mumbai and Mr. Balraj Saini, from Jammu will be awarded with Munshi Premchand Shresht Kriti Puraskar (Novel) for ‘Barf Ke Kalin Par Nanhe Pav’ and ‘Deh Gayee Deewar’ respectively, Mr. Sham Lal Kaushal from Rohtak will be awarded with Hazari Prasad Dwivedi Shresht Kriti Puraskar (Lalit/Satirical Essay) for ‘Agyakari Pati Hone ke Fayade’, Mr. Vedprakash Nagpal, from Chandigarh will be awarded with Rahul Sanskritiyayan Shresht Kriti Puraskar for 'Mera Zindgi Naama' (Biography/Autobiography/Memoirs), Mr. B.D. Kalia from Panchkula will be honoured with the Dharamveer Bharati Swarna Jayanti Shresht Kriti Puraskar (Travelogue/Diary/Reportage) for ‘Sahitya Prapat’. They will each receive a cash award of Rs 31,000.

Similarly in the Hindi language, Mr. Jai Bhagwan Sharma will be given the Guru Jambheshwar Swarna Jayanti Shrestha Kriti Puraskar (Paryavaran) for ‘Swacchta Aur Hum’ and will receive prize money of Rs 31,000.

Similarly under Sresht Kriti Puraskar Yojana (2016), in Haryanvi Language and Literature category for Kavita/Ragini Mr. Lehra Singh Attri from Fafdana, Karnal will be awarded for ‘Chal Dikhadun Ajab Najjara’ in folk literature/folk culture/folk art, Mr. Rammehar Singh from Jind will be awarded a cash award of Rs 31,000 for Haryanvi Ragini Sahitya Vishleshan.

In the Hindi Story Competition category Mr. Harbhagwan Chawla from Sirsa will be awarded Rs. 5,000 for the story ‘Laut Te Hue’, Mr. Vijay Kumar Balyan ‘Vibhor’ from Rohtak will be awarded Rs. 4,000 for story ‘Mera Astitva’ Mr. Anand Prakash Artist from Bhiwani will be awarded Rs. 3,000 for ‘Jaisi Karni Waisi Bharni.’
