Chandigarh August 8: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that with a view to bring qualitative improvement in the education, 104 Government Schools in the State would be developed as Model Sanskriti schools. At present, there are 22 Model Sanskriti schools in the state.
Mr Manohar Lal was addressing a gathering after inaugurating the Government Senior Secondary School, Ballabhgarh in district Faridabad today. On this occasion, he also announced to construct a new building in Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Ballabgarh and develop Government School in Sector-3 as Model Sanskriti School.
Apart from this, Mr Manohar Lal also inaugurated three projects in Ballabgarh. These included a three-storey new building of Government Senior Secondary School constructed at a cost of Rs 6.20 crore, entrance gate in village Chandavali constructed at a cost of Rs 24.94 lakh and a park constructed at a cost of Rs 24.60 lakh in the same village . He also planted a sapling in the park.
The Chief Minister said that apart from strengthening the infrastructure in schools, all necessary facilities are being made available to the schools in the State. He said that the State Government is working on a five-pronged strategy which includes education, health, security, self-reliance and self-respect. He said that the government is also focusing on providing trained staff and other requisite facilities in schools so that children can get better education.
He said that the data of each and every family in the State is being collected by the State Government for the purpose of Parivar Pehchan Patra. The Parivar Pehchan Patra, he said, would prove to be very effective to curb corruption and ensuring that the benefit of various government schemes and programmes reach to the last person in the queue. The State Government is celebrating the year 2020 as ‘Sushasan Sankalp Varsh’ and is committed to provide graft-free governance in the State. The record of such children who are in the age group of 5 to 15 years and are deprived of education due to any reason is also being collected so that arrangement could be made for their education, he added.
He said that though the COVID-19 Pandemic has posed a new challenge to the world but we have taken this challenge as an opportunity. He said that gradually people have started bringing changes in their lifestyle. The use of technology has increased in almost every field. Children are taking online education and smart class rooms are being set up in schools. He said that farmers are giving details of their crops on the 'Meri Fasal Mera Byora’ portal'. The online registry of the land has injected transparency in the system by putting a complete check on the role of middleman. Apart from this, all the data related to land is being made online, he further added.
Speaking on this occasion, Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Mr Krishan Pal Gurjar said by working with the spirit of 'Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas', Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has ensured a graft-free governance in the State. He said that development works in the State are being carried out at a rapid pace. Also, separate colleges are being opened for girls so that they do not have to go far to get education.
Transport and Mines and Geology Minister, Mr Mool Chand Sharma said that by inaugurating the new building of the school, Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has given a new gift to this area. He said that with the construction of this new building, the students would get a lot of convenience. He said that under the Shikshit Haryana Pariyojana, online education is being provided to the children.
