Chandigarh, August 17 - Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, today inaugurated a Plasma Bank set up in the premises of Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College (KCGMC) in Karnal and presented certificates and mementos to 10 people who have till now donated plasma.
After the inauguration, Chief Minister went to the Plasma Room and interacted with four persons who donated plasma today and enquired about their health. Those who donated plasma include, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, Mr. Manoj Kathpal, Mr. Sumit Arora and Mr. Amarnath.
The Chief Minister presented certificates and mementos to everyone and said that blood donation is a noble deed done. Mr. Manohar Lal also interacted with Dr. Jagdish Dureja, Director of KCGMC, about setting up of the Plasma Bank.
After this, the Chief Minister also honoured 6 blood donors and gave certificates, mementos, who had donated plasma in the last 4 days.
On this occasion Mr. Sanjay Bhatia, MP Karnal, Mr. Harvinder Kalyan, MLA Gharaunda, Mr. Ramkumar Kashyap, MLA Indri, Mr. Dharampal Gonder, MLA Neelokheri and Chairman, Forest Development Corporation, Mayor, Mrs. Renu Bala Gupta, Deputy Commissioner, Mr. Nishant Kumar Yadav and Superintendent of Police, Mr. SS Bhoria were present.
