Chandigarh, October 27: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that in the last one year, the State Government has taken several important decisions through IT by transforming the Corona Challenge into an opportunity.
The Chief Minister was addressing media persons here today after performing Bhoomi Pujan for the runway extension under the second phase of the Integrated Aviation Hub in Hisar after listing the achievements of the State Government in the last one year of their second term.
He said that the State Government has made many new decisions in the last one year, such as Parivar Pehchan Patra, Housing For All Department, Foreign Cooperation Department, Citizen Resources Information Department and constitution of MSME Department. He said that under the Parivar Pehchan Patra, 60 lakh families have been identified, and benefit of Social Justice and Empowerment Department services is being given under it. Now, at the time of admission in schools, the work of making identity cards has been started. Work is also underway so that every village has a website on which any person can give their suggestions and the State Government will include those suggestions in the development plans. The Chief Minister said that the budget will be prepared by taking the opinion of the people of the village in the upcoming budget, thus increasing public participation.
He said that Housing for All Department has been formed to provide roof to everyone, whether it is under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana or any other scheme. He said that 25,000 families of nomadic caste like Gadiya Lohar have been identified and plans are being made for their permanent housing and now those people have also been inspired to educate their children.
The Chief Minister said that the State Government has formed a Foreign Cooperation Department so that the vision of Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi that not only centre but also the State are able to make direct contact with foreign countries.
The Chief Minister said that as a result of the reforms made in the electricity department, out of 6700 villages of the state, 4755 villages are being supplied 24-hour electricity under the Mhara Gaon Jagmag Gaon Scheme. Similarly, line loss has come down from the earlier 30 percent to 17 percent. A plan of Rs. 1700 crore has been sent to the Central Government to install 50,000 solar pumps. Many important decisions have also been taken in the field of education. In the last one year 15 new government colleges were opened for girls and in the last 6 years, 67 government colleges were opened. The Chief Minister said that Haryana has bagged first place in the country under the Anemia Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. New medical colleges are being opened in Mehandragarh, Bhiwani, Gurugram, Sirsa, Kaithal and Yamunanagar. In 2014, the number of seats in the medical colleges in the State was 750, which has been increased to 1750 and will further be also increased. 934 new doctors have been recruited.
He said that a plan was made to ensure that the Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran plot holders do not have to give enhancement and in the first phase 20,000 plot holders took advantage of it. There are still 17,000 plot holders left.
When asked about the Baroda by-election, the Chief Minister said that BJP candidate Mr. Yogeshwar is well-known all over Haryana, India and globally. He said that only the coalition candidate will win in Baroda by-election.
