Chandigarh, November 15 - Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal expressed deep condolences to the family of former Lt. Governor of Puducherry, Ms. Chandrawati on her demise. She was 92 years old and had been ill for some time and breathed her last at Rohtak PGI today morning where she was undergoing treatment.

The Chief Minister said that as an Advocate, MLA and MP, Late Ms. Chandrawati fought for the poor in the society. She was a stellar example of women empowerment. She participated equally in politics as well as social work. Her death has left a void in the politics of the country and the state. The Chief Minister paid a heartfelt tribute to Late Ms. Chandravati and expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family.
