Chandigarh, December 23: Haryana Cabinet which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal here today has accorded approval for providing State Government guarantee of Rs. 900 crore in favour of Commercial Banks for sanction of credit facilities to Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Ltd. (DHBVNL).
The DHBVNL is implementing Smart Grid Project in Gurugram for strengthening and up-gradation of existing power distribution system in the city with a project outlay of Rs. 1408 crore.
The Cabinet has given its approval for providing State Government Guarantee of Rs. 900 crore which includes Rs. 700 crore from Central Bank of India and Rs. 200 crore from Canara Bank on account of sanction of long term project loan to fund Smart Grid Project in Gurugram and working capital limit to manage operational requirements of Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam.
