Chandigarh, March 12– As a welcome relief to the ex-servicemen, Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal today announced to construct Integrated Sainik Sadans in 7 districts in the state. These sadans would function as one stop facility for all their needs.

Further to encourage enlistment in Defence Forces, the Government intends to set up NDA and Technical Jobs Training Academies in the State.

The Chief Minister, who also holds the Finance portfolio, announced this while presenting the State Budget for the year 2021-22 during the ongoing budget session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha today. On this occasion, he announced a budget outlay of Rs 143 crores in budget estimates of 2021-22.

He said that these Sainik Sadans would house the Zila Sainik Board Office, Sainik Rest House, Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme Clinic, Canteen and a common hall with necessary infrastructure.

The Chief Minister said that it is a matter of great pride that every 10th soldier of armed forces belongs to Haryana.  The State Government is committed to the welfare of the Defence personnel, ex-Defence personnel, Central Armed Police Force, as well as their families.  In recognition of their supreme sacrifices, the State Government is implementing numerous schemes for their welfare and dependent family members. A total 27 jobs have been provided to next of kin of martyrs during 2020-21.
