Chandigarh, March 15- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, during the ongoing budget session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha brought a Motion stating that if any section of the society or organization announces boycott of any politician, then the House would condemn such decisions.
The Chief Minister also proposed that if necessary then voting should be done on the said Motion. Later, the proposed Motion was passed in the House by voice votes. BJP and Independent MLA's while thumping their tables supported the Motion.
The Chief Minister said that for the protection of democracy, both the ruling party and the opposition party share a collective responsibility.
Leader of the Opposition, Sh. Bhupinder Singh Hooda clarified that no Congress MLA is inciting or urging any organization or section of the society to boycott politicians. However, during the voting, Congress MLAs staged a walkout.
