Chandigarh, April 8 - Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal while reiterating State Government's commitment to ensuring hassle-free and time-bound procurement said that all those Arhtiyas whose Commission and Labour wage amount is pending since last procurement season will get interest for the delayed amount.
"The process of payment of interest will start from today and Arhtiyas have been asked to get their accounts verified. Necessary directions for the same have been issued to the Food and Civil Supplies Department," said Sh. Manohar Lal.
The Chief Minister said this while presiding over the review meeting of Rabi Procurement process held with all the Deputy Commissioners and officers concerned through video conferencing here today. Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala and Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Minister, Sh. J.P. Dalal was also present.
It is pertinent to mention that such a meeting is being held every week on Thursday to interact with all the Deputy Commissioners to discuss various issues about Development.
The Chief Minister said that recently a meeting with Arhtiyas was held during which important issues were discussed and State Government had assured them that they would not face any problem during the procurement.
During the meeting, Deputy Commissioners apprised the Chief Minister that smooth procurement is being done in the Mandis. The Chief Minister directed that regular talks should be held with the Arhtiyas so as to ensure that they do not face any problem.
The Chief Minister also directed the Deputy Commissioners to ensure hassle-free procurement. He said that the procurement of wheat has already commenced in the Mandis from April 1, 2021.
Sh. Manohar Lal directed the Deputy Commissioners to ensure that farmers do not face any trouble in bringing their crops to the Mandis. Proper arrangement for gate pass, computers, drinking water and toilets should be ensured.
