Chandigarh, April 12: Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has directed the officers to work rapidly to ensure the holistic development of Panchkula district. Sh. Manohar Lal was presiding over a review meeting regarding the development plan of Panchkula here today.
During the meeting, Chief Minister said that with these development plans, Panchkula would certainly become a major hub for Medical, Tourism and Paragliding. Vidhan Sabha Speaker and MLA, Panchkula, Sh. Gian Chand Gupta and City Mayor, Sh. Kulbhushan Goyal were also present.
The Chief Minister said that holistic development of Panchkula should be ensured and for this Public Works Department has to ensure strengthening of road connectivity. Besides this, Chief Minister also directed the officers concerned to complete all the developmental projects within a stipulated time frame. The required permission from forest and environment department and other departments needed for the road connecting Ramgarh to Himachal Pradesh should immediately be sought, directed Sh. Manohar Lal.
The Chief Minister directed the officers of Urban Local Bodies Department to vacate the dumping ground in sector 23, Panchkula by December 31, 2021.
Sh. Manohar Lal further directed the officers concerned to ensure that the terms and conditions required for providing facilities to make Panchkula a medical hub should be fulfilled on a priority basis. He said that officers should chalk out plans for setting up large hospitals having state-of-the-art medical facilities in Panchkula. Well-maintained roads and parking arrangements for hospitals should be given due attention while drafting the plan, he said. Besides this, he directed the officers to work out a plan to set up a Wellness Centre and Panchkarma Centre in Panchkula.
Special attention should be given to develop Pinjore
During the meeting extensive discussion was held on the development of Pinjore. The Chief Minister directed the officials to prepare a comprehensive plan for the film city to be built there. Along with ensuring the development of Film City in Pinjore, Chief Minister directed the officers concerned to accelerate the speed of setup an Airstrip there so that people can avail air taxi service from Pinjore in future. Sh. Manohar Lal further directed the officers to also include Pinjore Mandi in Panchkula’s development plan.
Morni will become the centre of paragliding and tracking
During the meeting, Chief Minister was apprised that Paragliding can be done from Morni to Tikkar Taal and for this, 10 youth from rural areas have been imparted a basic course of paragliding and five youth have done an advanced course in this. Paragliders will fly from Morni and will land in the Tikkar Taal. The youth who have undertaken this course will help tourists in paragliding. The Chief Minister directed officers to work towards fixing the rules for conducting paragliding in Haryana at the earliest.
