Chandigarh, April 15: Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has directed to formulate a policy for regularization of industries running in unauthorized areas in the state and apply it as soon as possible. Sh. Manohar Lal was presiding over the meeting of officers of Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC), Industries, Local Bodies Department, and Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran in this regard here on Wednesday. Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Dushyant Chautala was also present in the meeting.
The Chief Minister directed the officers to take forward the work by drafting rules and regulations to avoid any problem at any level. It was informed in the meeting that in this regard so far industries in Yamunanagar, Faridabad, Panipat and Rohtak have been surveyed. According to the survey report, there are a total of 4742 industries in Yamunanagar. Of these, 1413 are in the conforming zone while 3329 are in the non-conforming zone. Of the total 21460 units in Faridabad, 6048 are in the confirming and 15412 in the non-conforming zone. Of the total 10805 units in Panipat, 3318 are located in the confirming and 7487 non-conforming zones, and in Rohtak, 793 out of a total of 4176 units are located in the conforming and 3383 non-conforming zones.
Following this survey report, a five percent random sampling of these industries was directed to the Municipal Commissioner for disposal in the next week.
The industries in the non-conforming zone are classified into Green, Orange, Red, and White according to the terms and conditions of the State Pollution Control Board.
After the physical verification of these industries, regular work will be done on a cluster basis.
On this occasion, Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. DS Dhesi, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. V. Umashankar, Managing Director, HSIIDC, Sh. Anurag Agarwal, Principal Secretary, Industries & Commerce Department, Sh. Vijayendra Kumar, Director General, Industries & Commerce Department, Dr. Saket Kumar, Director, Town & Country Planning, Sh. K Makarand Pandurang and other senior officers of the Local Bodies Department were present. The Municipal Commissioners of Faridabad and Gurugram joined the meeting through video conferencing.
