Chandigarh, May 3: Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal is dedicatedly working to ensure tackling of COVID-19 Pandemic in the state and while reiterating his commitment, for the second time in a row today he again conducted a whirlwind tour of four districts namely Palwal, Nuh, Rewari and Fatehabad.
Meanwhile, in last eight days, Chief Minister has visited 17 districts to review arrangements regarding COVID-19 and given necessary guidelines to the officers concerned.
While issuing a stern warning against those involved in black marketing of medicines, oxygen cylinders and other food products during this hour of crisis, the Chief Minister said that strict action would be taken against all those who are found guilty.
During his tour, the Chief Minister firstly visited Palwal district and presided over a meeting with the administrative officers regarding the arrangements made by them to tackle the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic and then he also visited the Civil Hospital, Palwal to inspect all the health arrangements made there.
The Chief Minister directed that a health survey of every person should be conducted in rural areas. If in this survey it is found that a person is having COVID-19 symptoms, then the person should be advised to stay in home isolation immediately, to prevent the possibility of infection spread. If a patient requires oxygen, then he should be admitted to the hospital to get the required treatment, said Sh. Manohar Lal.
The Chief Minister said that after ensuring uninterrupted supply of oxygen, the number of ventilators is also now being increased and if any ventilator is not being used in some place, then such ventilators will be sent to the places where they are needed, so that more and more patients who require the ventilators can get the facility.
After Palwal, the Chief Minister then visited Nuh district and reviewed the health and other arrangements made by the District Administration there to tackle ongoing Pandemic situation. He said that empty tankers are being airlifted to meet the oxygen demand so that timely and uninterrupted supply can be ensured.
Later, the Chief Minister while interacting with the media persons at Nuh said that the State Government has decided to increase the oxygen quota of Nalhar Medical College, Nuh and after increasing the quota of oxygen, additional beds will also be arranged here.
The Chief Minister said that the government is constantly taking steps to ensure the availability of oxygen in the Medical College and for this containers will also be arranged so that oxygen can be stored.
Speaking on the lockdown decision, the Chief Minister said that it is the need of the hour to impose Lockdown.
"We know that people have a problem with the decision of imposing lockdown, but to break the increasing COVID-19 infection chain, it had become necessary to impose the lockdown," said the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister then visited Rewari and took detailed information about the arrangements made by the District Administration for combating the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. He also enquired about the number of COVID-19 patients admitted in 22 hospitals of the district that are registered on the portal.
The Chief Minister also directed the officers to cap the rate of food items and to spread information of the fixed rate list among the common people so that no shopkeeper can overcharge people.
Then the Chief Minister visited Fatehabad and took a detailed report from the officials and further directed them to make every necessary arrangement required to tackle the disease.
The Chief Minister then visited the polytechnical institute of Fatehabad where vaccination was going on where he inspected all the arrangements and gave necessary guidelines to the officers.
The Chief Minister while interacting with media persons said that there is no shortage of oxygen in the State. The oxygen quota has been increased. The oxygen quota in Fatehabad district has been increased from 1 MT to 5 MT. The Chief Minister said that helpline numbers have been issued at the state, district level and sub-division level for the availability of corona related health facilities. He said that people are facing issues in buying oxygen individually for which necessary directions have been issued today so that people can be given oxygen individually.
The Chief Minister said that any person can get oxygen individually by showing doctor's prescription.
During the Chief Minister's visit in these districts namely in Palwal, Minister of State for Archeology & Museums, Sh. Anoop Dhanak, MLA Palwal, Sh. Deepak Mangla, MLA Hathin, Sh. Praveen Dagar, Additional Chief Secretary, Sh. Raja Shekhar Vundru and in Rewari, Cooperation Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal, MLA Kosli, Sh. Laxman Singh, and in Fatehabad, Power Minister, Sh. Ranjit Singh, MLA of Fatehabad, Sh. Dudaram, Tohana MLA Sh. Devendra Singh Babli were present.
