Chandigarh, June 10: Rising above the ideology of dividing Haryana in the name of region and development, the present state government under the dynamic leadership of Sh. Manohar Lal in its last seven-year tenure has ensured equitable development of all the 90 Assembly Constituencies while believing in the mantra of 'Haryana Ek Haryanvi Ek'.
"In last seven years, the State Government has been dedicatedly working towards swiftly taking Haryana forward on the development track. With these development projects, one more feather has certainly been added to the state government's hat. Inaugurating and laying the foundation stones of so many projects that too in a single day would always be remembered in the history of Haryana," said Sh. Manohar Lal at a state-level programme held through video conferencing here today.
During the programme, the Chief Minister dedicated and laid the foundation stones of several projects costing more than Rs 1100 crore.
Haryana has become a role model in taking unique initiatives
The Chief Minister said that in the implementation of many schemes by Haryana Government has become a role model for other states.
"The campaign to make the villages of State free from ‘Lal Dora’ that was exclusively launched by Haryana Government was later adopted by Centre Government under the title of Pradhanmantri Svamitva Yojna", said Sh. Manohar Lal.
Several steps taken for water conservation
He said that understanding the importance of water 'Mera Pani Meri Virasat Yojana' was implemented to adopt crop diversification and to save underground water for future generations. Under this scheme, an appeal was made to the farmers of the State to adopt crop diversification in place of Paddy, he added.
"A biennial scheme for proper management of water was also launched by the State Government," said Sh. Manohar Lal.
'Vivadon se Samadhan' to address grievances
The Chief Minister said that in a bid to address every single grievance raised by the people of the state, one of its kind 'Vivadon se Samadhan' was launched aiming to resolve long pending queries of each department.
"While adopting zero-tolerance towards corruption the working of every department was digitalized to ensure paperless, faceless and transparent governance," said Sh. Manohar Lal.
He said that constant efforts have been made by the State Government to further strengthen the Mandi system across Haryana.
"An amount of around Rs. 7000 crore would be spent on establishing International Horticulture Market in Gannaur" said Sh. Manohar Lal.
Never stopped giving tubewell connections
Taking a dig at the Opposition for alleging that the State Government has discontinued tubewell connections, the Chief Minister said that various steps are being taken by the State Government to provide adequate water facilities for irrigation purposes to the farmers.
"Under these steps, micro-irrigation (drip irrigation system) is being encouraged in the areas where the water table is below 100 feet," he said.
He said that for micro-irrigation, a subsidy of up to 85 per cent is being provided to the farmers.
He said that the State Government would provide tubewell connections to the farmers in the areas where the groundwater level is less than 100 feet and a micro-irrigation system would be implemented in the areas with more depth.
"A tubewell connection would be given for any farmer who has tube-well motors of below 15 BHP (brake horsepower). This decision has been taken to promote micro-irrigation," said Sh. Manohar Lal.
