Chandigarh, June 18- Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology, Murthal (Sonipat), Haryana has taken a special initiative to set up Atal Academy, Advanced Training and Learning Academy and Idea Lab. In the presence of the Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, the Vice Chancellor of Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Science and Technical University, Murthal, Professor, Dr. Rajendra Anayat and the Chairman of All India Council of Technical Education, Professor, Prof. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe signed a Memorandum of Understanding in New Delhi today.
The Chief Minister expressed his belief that this Advance Training and Learning Academy and Idea Lab would give a new direction to training and learning. Pointing out the importance and utility of experimentation in the present times, he said that all innovations are given shape in laboratories. Discovery and innovation are the basis of life in the present time. With the establishment of this academy and lab, new paradigms will be established in the field of training, discovery and innovation.
For setting up of Advance Training and Learning Academy and Idea Lab at Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Science and Technical University, Murthal, an amount of Rs. 30 crore will be spent in the first phase and Rs. 20 crore in the second phase. An amount of Rs. 50 crore will be borne by All India Council for Technical Education. Training will be provided to teachers in Advance Training and Learning Academy. Financial aid for training activities will also be provided by All India Council for Technical Education. Idea Lab's services will be available 24 hours a day for the students.
In order to enhance the quality of technical education special work is being done on Atal Academy Scheme. In view of the better results obtained from the initially established academies, more academies will be expanded in future. Through the Atal Academy scheme, the main areas of robotics, artificial intelligence, Internet of things, block chain, quantum computing, cyber security, data science, augmented reality and 3D printing and design will be promoted.
During the MoU signing process, MLA, Rai Assembly Constituency, Sh. Mohan Lal Badoli was also present.
