Chandigarh June 18: The Union Environment Ministry has given an exemption to Industrial units running in as many as eight district areas of Haryana coming under National Capital Region, where there is no access to pipe supply of CNG, PNG, and LPG, in getting environmental clearance.
This was shared by Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal while addressing the media persons after meeting with Union Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Sh. Prakash Javadekar at his residence in New Delhi today to discuss various environmental issues of Haryana.
The Chief Minister said that Coal and other conventional energy sources would now be replaced with CNG, PNG and LPG in industrial units located in National Capital Region districts.
CNG, PNG, and LPG pipeline supply has not yet reached eight district areas of Haryana coming under NCR, and with this decision of giving exemption to industrial units, now these units too will be able to get CNG, PNG, and LPG supply in a hassle-free manner. However, the pipeline works of the industries units located in these eight districts are already in progress, said Sh. Manohar Lal.
He said that environmental clearance would also be given to 15 long-established formaldehyde industrial units in Yamunanagar district so that those industrial units could uninterruptedly run their operations.
