Chandigarh, June 19: Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has condoled the sad demise of the great sprinter of India, Late Sh. Milkha Singh.
Sh. Milkha Singh was 91 years old and breathed his last at PGI, Chandigarh today after putting up a valiant battle with COVID-19 for almost a month.
Expressing his deepest condolences on the sad demise of 'Flying Sikh' Sh. Milkha Singh, in a condolence message issued here today, the Chief Minister said that India has lost a sporting icon who will always inspire every Indian to shine for the country.
'Flying Sikh' Sh. Milkha Singh will always live in the hearts of every Indian for his exceptional accomplishments on and off the field and his humane personality will always be remembered said the Chief Minister.
Expressing his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family members, Sh. Manohar Lal prayed to the almighty to give peace to the departed soul and give strength to the family members to bear this immense loss.
