Chandigarh, June 19- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal held a meeting with Union Railway Minister, Sh. Piyush Goyal at his residence in New Delhi today. In the meeting which lasted for about one and a half hour it was directed that work on various railway projects related to the Haryana State should be expedited.

Interacting with the mediaperson post meeting, the Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that in the meeting, various important points were discussed with respect to 10 several projects associated with Haryana Railway.

The Chief Minister said that various railway projects of Haryana mainly include Delhi-Hisar Railway Project, Yamunanagar-Karnal Rail Project, Bhiwani-Loharu Rail Project, Rohtak Elevated Railway Line Project, Kaithal Elevated Railway Line Project and Jind Bypass Rail Line Project.

Responding to a question asked by the mediaperson, the Chief Minister said that in the context of the projects of various departments of Haryana associated with the Central Government Projects, meeting took place with, Union Minister of Jal Shakti, Sh. Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, the Union Minister of Environment, Sh. Prakash Javadekar, the Union Minister of State for Power, Sh. Raj Kumar Singh and Railway Minister, Sh. Piyush Goyal.  The pace of work of some projects must have slowed down due to Covid Pandemic.  But now necessary guidelines have been given by the concerned ministries to speed up the work of these projects.

In response to a question raised by the mediaperson on the possibility of expanding the Haryana cabinet, he replied that there is no such possibility.

On the sudden demise of India's famous sprinter 'flying Sikh' Sh. Milkha Singh, the Chief Minister said that he was a legendary sportsperson. He said that he on the behalf of himself and Haryana Government pay heartfelt tribute to him
