Chandigarh, June 21: Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has directed the officers to prepare a plan for setting up clusters at the district level for Small, Micro and Medium Scale Industries to encourage new startups. He said that under this scheme, maximum employment opportunities should be made available to the youth.
The Chief Minister gave these directions while presiding over the review meeting of the cluster scheme of MSMEs here today.
The officers concerned were directed to make an extensive plan for land, planning, types of product, technology, testing certification, research and development, processing, marketing, financing, export, designing packaging, etc.
He said that the export work should be mainly looked after by the Foreign Cooperation Department. Suggestions should be invited on the portal from the people after making a complete plan as to which type of industries they are interested to set up. He said that if required meetings with such entrepreneurs should be called so that cluster scheme can achieve its real purpose. He also directed the officers concerned to make timely arrangement of land for setting up the clusters.
The Chief Minister said that an Advisory Board or Council should be constituted for the exporters by preparing a detailed report regarding the items that are being exported from Haryana so that problems that are likely to be faced while exporting can be resolved easily.
The Chief Minister said that work should be done towards setting up clusters based on the products grown district-wise. During the meeting, the Chief Minister also learned about setting up product based clusters in various districts and said that focus should be given to setting up food product based clusters.
He said that as tomatoes are produced more in Dadri, Dairy products manufactured in Rewari, Mustard in Mahendragarh, likewise Kinnu is produced more in Sirsa district, therefore, setting up clusters based on these products in these districts will certainly prove to be more effective. With the establishment of small-scale industries, people will get more employment opportunities and new start-ups will also emerge, said Sh. Manohar Lal.
On this occasion, Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. D.S Dhesi, Managing Director, HSIIDC, Sh. Anurag Agarwal, Principal Secretary Industries and Commerce Department, Sh. Vijayendra Kumar, Director General MSME, Sh. Vikas Gupta, Director General, Industries and Commerce, Dr. Saket Kumar and other senior officers were present.
