Chandigarh, June 29: Haryana Government in collaboration with the Centre would be setting up a world-class virtual museum highlighting references to Mahabharata and Gita in Kurukshetra.
Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal held a meeting with the Union Minister of State for Tourism, Sh. Prahlad Singh Patel in New Delhi regarding the progress of various tourism projects undergoing in Haryana. In the meeting, discussions were held on Kurukshetra, Adi Badri, Rakhigarhi, Science City, Adventure Tourism and other important issues.
Later interacting with the media after the meeting, the Union Minister of State for Tourism, Sh. Prahlad Singh Patel said that the Union Ministry of Tourism is really impressed with Haryana Government’s basic concept of a setting up virtual museum having references from Mahabharata and Gita.
A world-class virtual museum with references to Mahabharata and Gita will be jointly developed in Kurukshetra by the Union Ministry of Tourism and the Government of Haryana.
Sh. Prahlad Singh Patel while praising the Haryana Government said that Haryana has done great work in the tourism sector with its own resources. The State Government has completed Krishna Circuit-I and prepared the plan for Krishna Circuit-II, he added.
Sh. Manohar, while addressing media said that the Union Minister of State for Tourism has agreed on several projects and important points.
Top officers of Union Ministry of Tourism, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Haryana, Sh. V Umashankar and Principal Secretary, Town and Planning Department, Haryana, Sh. A.K Singh were also present in the meeting.
