Chandigarh August 2: Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has congratulated Indian Women's and Men’s Hockey Teams for reaching the semi-finals in Tokyo Olympics 2020.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Indian Women's hockey team has created history by registering a tremendous win over Australia and for the first time in history and it has reached the Olympic semi-finals.
A day before this, the Men's Hockey Team has also made it to the Olympic semi-finals after 49 years. The Men's Hockey Team defeated Great Britain by 3–1 and entered into semi-finals.
In Indian Women's Hockey Team, 9 players are from Haryana and the captain of this team, Rani Rampal is also from Shahabad, which is a matter of pride for the people of Haryana said the Chief Minister in his congratulatory message.
Sh. Manohar Lal has also extended warm wishes to all the players of the Indian Hockey team and expressed confidence that in the next match also all these players will perform well, and by winning medals, they will make history.
