Chandigarh, September 22- There is a lot of enthusiasm among the youth towards the Har-Hith retail store scheme in Haryana. Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has directed to give priority to the families identified through the Parivar Pehchan Patra scheme in the Har-Hith Stores scheme. If the beneficiaries identified under the Chief Minister Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana take a loan under this scheme, then the government will bear the interest of one year on their loan.
The Chief Minister was presiding over the review meeting held with the officers of the department regarding the Har-Hith Retail Store scheme at his office here today. During this, Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Sh. JP Dalal and Chairman, Haryana Agro Industries Corporation, Sh. Rakesh Daultabad were also present.
So far 1258 youth have applied under this scheme. After completion of all these formalities, 71 Har-Hith stores will start functioning from October 7. These stores have been set up in 19 districts across the state. The Chief Minister will inaugurate these stores through video conferencing.
Under the Har-Hith retail store scheme of the Chief Minister to promote business, employment and modern market in rural areas of the state, 1258 applications have been received so far, out of which 982 have been surveyed and 509 who have been found eligible have been given the benefit of this scheme. Of these, agreements have been signed with 151. Out of these, 95 applicants have taken Mudra loan and 56 applicants have applied with their own money.
Plan to open 5000 booths of Vita
Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal directed the officers to make a plan to open 5000 booths of Vita. He said that there should be a Vita booth at every bus stand, railway station, hospital, market etc. He directed to make portable cabins and open booths so that more and more people get employment. The Chief Minister said that the products of other companies should also be kept at these booths so that the quality of our products can be improved according to the competition. Apart from this, efforts should be made to open Vita booths in Chandigarh as well.
Establish the Brand
The Chief Minister said that we should work to establish ourselves as a brand by including our products in the range of products at every Har-Hith retail store. He also suggested to the officers to include some 'ready to eat' items like 'ready to eat halwa' etc. The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department, Sh. TVSN Prasad, Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department, Dr. Sumita Misra, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. V Umashankar, Managing Director, HAFED, Sh. A. Srinivas, and Managing Director, Haryana Agro Industries Corporation Ltd. Sh. Rohit Yadav among other officers.
