Chandigarh, October 31- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that on the occasion of Haryana Day tomorrow I e., November 1, 24 hours electricity will be supplied to 5,485 villages of the state under the 'Mhara Gaon-Jagmag Gaon' scheme.  The remaining 1000 villages will also be covered under this scheme soon.  Apart from this, eligible people will get the benefit of various schemes through Parivar Pehchan Patra.

The Chief Minister was addressing a cultural evening organized on the eve of Haryana Day in the series of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at Indradhanush Auditorium, Sector 5, here today as the chief guest.

Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Sh. Gian Chand Gupta and Ambala Lok Sabha MP, Sh. Rattan Lal Kataria were also present on the occasion.  The cultural evening was inaugurated by the Chief Minister by lighting the traditional lamp.  On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced a grant of Rs 1100 each to the artists who performed cultural programmes.  Apart from this, he announced Rs 5100 each to the team of winners of India's Got Talent and Wonder Kid Jhanvi.

He said that today's programme is being celebrated for many reasons.  We are celebrating 56th anniversary of Haryana.  Haryana was formed 55 years ago on November 1, 1966.  Along with this, this day is also the birth anniversary of our country's first Home Minister, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who worked to unite about 550 princely states of the country.

He said that the first term of our government started on October 26, 2014.  After that the second innings of the government started on October 27, 2019.  The seven-year term of the government has also been completed on October 27 and the government has entered its 8th year.  Congratulating the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Deepawali on November 4, he said that it has been decided by the government to organize cultural programmes in every district.

Sh. Manohar Lal said that Haryana was separated from United Punjab on November 1, 1966.  Initially, Haryana lagged behind in industries, electricity and water, and proper resources were not available for farming.  But today Haryana has become a leading state in every field due to the hard work of the people of the state.  Today Haryana is providing better services in the country in the fields of industry, agriculture, education, sports, technology etc.  Apart from this, Haryana ranks first among the big states of the country in terms of per capita income.  He said that he is happy that recently the Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi has praised the Haryana Government and said that other states should also follow Haryana.  Today, many states of the country have implemented various schemes of Haryana in their states and the credit of all this goes to the people of Haryana including labourers, farmers, industrialists and soldiers.

He said that Haryana has only 2 percent of the total population of the country, while the contribution of Haryana in the country's forces is 10 percent.  Apart from this, Haryana is also on the top in implementing various schemes of the central government.  He said that under the Ujjwala scheme, cylinders have been delivered to 9.50 lakh families of Haryana by the government.  Apart from this, if any family has been deprived of this, the government is also giving Rs. 500 as a reward to the person giving information about it.  Similarly, every 'Ghar Ko Naal Se Jal' is being implemented in Haryana.  He said that the schemes regarding online transfer, merit based jobs are being praised everywhere.

He said that many cultural programmes are organized by the state government in the state to inculcate the spirit of morality among the people.  He said that the message of Bhagavad Gita is being propagated all over the world through Gita Jayanti.  He said that the delegation of African countries, who came here two days ago, have also expressed their desire to participate in the Gita Jayanti Mahotsav.

The Chief Minister said that while Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi has talked about celebrating 75 years of India's independence through Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and has called upon the states to prepare a blueprint for the next 25 years to help India become Vishwa Guru.

On this occasion, the team of Chief Minister's OSD (Special Publicity Cell), Sh. Gajendra Phogat regaled the audience with Haryanvi cultural programmes showcasing the glorious culture of Haryana.

The programme started with the patriotic song - 'Vande Mataram'.  After this Malavika Pandit and her team presented a traditional Haryanvi group dance (Noor), which was well received by the audience.  Desh bhakti song 'Ae Mere Watan Ke Logo' sung by well known singer Sheetal stunned the audience.  After this, the winners of India's Got Talent, led by Joginder Diwakar, through Acrobatics, gave a presentation based on 'Imandaar Sarkar - Manohar Sarkar', which garnered a lot of applause from the audience.  During the event, the five-year-old wonder kid – Jhanvi Batla danced to the Haryanvi song 'Sector Aali Kothi Mein Mera Nahi Lagta Ji' which left the audience stunned.  After this, the team of Information, Public Relations and Languages Department made a presentation regarding many development works done by the State Government under the leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal in a unique way in 7 years.  Enriching the programme with Haryanvi culture, the girls presented Haryanvi folk dance on the Haryanvi song 'Badal Uthaya Re Sakhi' based on classical music.  At the end of the programme, Mahavir Guddu filled the people with the feeling of patriotism by singing the heroic saga of Nahar Singh.

On this occasion, Mayor, Municipal Corporation, Sh. Kulbhushan Goyal, Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Vinay Pratap Singh, Police Commissioner, Sh. Saurabh Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Sh. Mohit Handa, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Mohammad Imran Raza, SDM Panchkula, Smt. Richa Rathi, SDM Kalka, Smt. Mamta Sharma, BJP District President, Sh. Ajay Sharma and a large number of dignitaries were present.
