Chandigarh, November 13: Chairing the meeting of the Haryana Enterprises Promotion Center, Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that clearance has been given for setting up a new Maruti plant on about 900 acres of land at Kharkhoda in Sonipat district. He said that this would further increase the production of Maruti, which would give a boost to the automobile sector in the state.
The Chief Minister said this while interacting with media persons after presiding over the meeting of Haryana Enterprises Promotion Center at Gurugram today.
He informed that this meeting is organized from time to time with the big and small investors of the state so that while interacting with them, they can be given exemption according to their demand and policy. In the meeting held today, while interacting with two such big industries namely Maruti and Grasim Paints, approval has been given as per the policy.
Sh. Manohar Lal said that the ongoing talks with Maruti to set up the plant on about 900 acres of land at Kharkhoda have been finalized today. This has been discussed in detail with the senior management of the company. If the company deposits the entire amount within 45 days, then it will be given 10 percent discount on the total amount as per the policy. Along with this, the company has been given SGST reimbursement for 15 years by the government. Besides this, the production will be further increased by the Maruti company, which will give a boost to the auto industry.
Meanwhile, another company namely Grasim Paints which was earlier holding talks with the State Government for setting up its plant in Rohtak but due to some reasons now they will be setting up this plant in Panipat. Some new conditions have been added to the exchange of this plant. This company has also been given a discount as per the policy. This industry will be established on 70 acres of land, informed Sh. Manohar Lal.
The Chief Minister said that another project regarding the production of railway parts has also been taken up in today’s meeting. This project will be set up in Rohtak.
The Chief Minister today also started the process of distributing fogging machines to villages across the state for the prevention of mosquito-borne diseases from the premises of Public Works Rest House, Gurugram. These machines will be given in those 5000 villages of the state where these machines are not available. On this occasion, he presented these machines to 11 Panchayats of the Gurugram district. Deputy Chief Minister Sh. Dushyant Chautala also remained present on this occasion.
The Chief Minister said that these machines would be used for the prevention of mosquito-borne diseases. At present, the weather has also changed and there is a rise in dengue cases, therefore every possible effort should be made to prevent the spread of mosquito-borne diseases. The work of distributing these machines in the districts of the state has been started from today, he added.
Later, responding to a question regarding pollution issues, the Chief Minister said, “It is our endeavour to reduce pollution not only in Delhi NCR but also in the cities and villages of the state. For this, serious efforts are being made by the state government. Equipment and machines have been given on subsidy to the farmers for crop residue management.”
The Chief Minister said that the cases of stubble burning have come down significantly in Haryana. As many as 183 cases of stubble burning have been reported in Haryana, while in Punjab about 3500 cases of stubble burning incidences have been reported so far, he added.
He said that these cases are recorded on the basis of photographs obtained from satellite imagery, for this, there is no need to go to the spot. Besides this, directions of the Supreme Court regarding pollution control will be strictly implemented in the State, he said.
Responding to another question about reserving 75 percent employment opportunities in the private sector for Haryana residents, the Chief Minister said that this scheme has been implemented only after consultation with industries and entrepreneurs. On the suggestions of entrepreneurs, the wage limit of Rs. 50,000 monthly has been reduced to Rs. 30,000. After this everyone is satisfied and this scheme will be implemented from January 2022, said Sh. Manohar Lal.
He also informed that families having less than Rs one lakh income are being identified from November 22 to December 15 through Parivar Pehchan Patra. Those identified families will be helped by providing skill development, loans to start businesses. Such families would also be given the benefits of various schemes being run through various departments.
