Chandigarh, November 17- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal while welcoming the President of India, Sh. Ram Nath Kovind to Haryana said that it is a matter of good fortune that the President himself has come to Haryana to initiate the Adarsh Gram Yojana. This will give new energy to the rural development in Haryana. The Chief Minister was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of Sui, a model village in Bhiwani, developed under the Swa-Prerit Adarsh Gram Yojana on Wednesday. The first lady of the country, Smt. Savita Kovind, Haryana Governor, Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya, and Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala were also present during this programme.
The Chief Minister said that it is a matter of pride that on the call of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, Haryana Government had started a scheme to make model villages. In this series, Swa-Prerit Adarsh Gram Yojana was also made, under which the development of villages is also taking place. Taking initiative in Sui village of Bhiwani, Industrialist, Sh. Krishna Jindal has got lake, school, auditorium, parks, library and many other development works done in the village. The Chief Minister said that similarly 205 people from Haryana who live abroad have expressed their desire to get development work done in their native villages. The Haryana government has also inspired many big companies and industrialists to take up development in villages, cities and any part of the state through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Due to this, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Trust has also been formed in Haryana.
Prime Minister praised the development works of Haryana
Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that Haryana ranks 21st in the country in terms of area and 18th in terms of population. In the last 7 years, the Haryana government has done so much development work that even Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi himself has praised them. He informed that Sh. Narendra Modi had even said that the schemes of Haryana are being followed by other states, not only this; many times the central government also implements them. The Chief Minister pointed out that this inspired him to do more work.
Educated Haryana Panchayats
Sh. Manohar Lal said that Haryana Government has made an Act to ensure that representatives in the Panchayats are educated. This act was challenged in the Supreme Court but the court upheld it. Apart from this, the court also asked other states to take such steps in their own right.
Haryana bags first place in Swachhta Abhiyan
The Chief Minister said that Haryana has also taken a strong initiative for cleanliness campaign. Campaigns were continuously launched at village and urban level regarding cleanliness and people were made aware regarding the same. Due to this, Haryana bagged first place in the cleanliness campaign. Along with this, the Haryana is a kerosene free state.
Constitution of Pond Authority
Describing the achievements of the Haryana government before the President, Sh. Ram Nath Kovind, Sh. Manohar Lal said that a Pond Authority has been constituted in Haryana to clean the ponds. There are 8000 ponds in the state. The government will initially get the big ponds cleaned, after that the small ponds will be cleaned. In this way the ponds of the entire state will be cleaned.
Will end the problem of water logging in 1 lakh acres of land
The Chief Minister said that there is a problem of water logging in many areas of the state. First of all, the state government will work to make it fertile by eliminating the problem of water logging in 1 lakh acres of land. After this, the problem of water logging in other places will also be eliminated. Speaking about the irrigation system, the Chief Minister said that the State Government is emphasizing on micro-irrigation to ensure that water reaches every field.
Target of implementing the National Education Policy by 2025
Sh. Manohar Lal said that the State Government is making efforts to implement the National Education Policy. The target is to implement this Education Policy across the country by 2030, while the Haryana government has targeted to implement this policy only by 2025.
Lal Dora ends
The Chief Minister said that the State Government has given real rights to the owner of the property by abolishing Lal Dora. This scheme of Haryana has been implemented by the Prime Minister in the whole country under the name Swamitva Yojana. People living in rural areas are getting huge benefits of this scheme. Apart from this, a Gram Darshan Portal has been created related to the demand of the village, through which the villagers can communicate their demands regarding their area. The Chief Minister said that taking the development of villages on priority; the government has also started the Gramin Sanrakshak Yojana. Under this scheme, 6,500 first class officers of the state will be the guardians of each village.
Haryana's important place in sports
Praising the sports policy and sportspersons of Haryana, the Chief Minister said that Haryana has an important place in sports. Haryana players get 25 to 40 percent of the medals received at national and international level across the country. Haryana has become the hub of sports. The state government is making constant efforts to promote sports and sportspersons and other states are visiting Haryana to study its sports policy after being impressed by the success achieved by Haryana in the field of sports.
On this occasion, Haryana Agriculture Minister, Sh. JP Dalal, Bhiwani MP, Sh. Dharambir Singh, Hisar MP, Sh. Brijendra Singh, Sh. Krishna Jindal, Sh. Ajay Jindal, Smt. Mamta Jindal, Bhiwani MLA, Sh. Dhanshyam Sarraf, Bawani Khera MLA, Sh. Bishambhar and many senior officers of Haryana Government were present.
