Chandigarh, November 30 - Earlier during the day the Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal met with a German delegation led by Member of Parliament, Germany, Sh. Rahul Kumar.
During the meeting, organized by the Foreign Cooperation Department, detailed discussions were held regarding the possibilities of collaboration between Haryana and Germany in areas of skilling & excellence, student & youth exchange and technology & new start ups.
Sh. Manohar Lal expressed his interest in the German way of dealing with climate change and directed to study and understand how Haryana can follow suit. He further informed Sh. Rahul Kumar about the new initiatives by the state including Parivar Pehchan Patra, Digitalization and Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana.
It is worth mentioning that born in village Alhar in Jagadhari, Haryana Sh. Rahul Kumar made history in 2021 when he was elected as parliament member in Frankfurt, Germany. He won the State Elections and became the first Indian, even the first Asian in history, who is sitting in the Parliament in Germany. He is now part of the State Government by the SPD party. In the present government he is responsible for digitization and traffic.
Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. DS Dhesi, Principal Secretary, Foreign Cooperation Department, Sh. Yogender Chaudhary, Director General, Foreign Cooperation Department, Dr. Anant P Pandey and Advisor, Foreign Cooperation Department, Sh. Pawan Chaudhary were present during the meeting.
