Chandigarh, December 17 - Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that a detailed plan has been prepared to deal with the problem of water-logging in the state. 

A special scheme would be started by the end of December and a dedicated portal for the same would be launched in January. The State Government has planned to deal with this problem on a large scale. 

The Chief Minister said this while replying to a question raised on the first day of the winter session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha on Friday.

The Chief Minister said that the problem of water-logging is not new to the state, a large area is affected due to this. There is a problem of water-logging in about 4 to 5 lakh acres of land. 

Therefore, the state government has made a plan to deal with the problem of water-logging initially on 1 lakh acres of land.

In January, applications will be sought from the farmers through the dedicated portal, the farmers who will register first, work will be started there to solve this problem. 

Drainage of water will be done by pipe, drain or according to the prevailing conditions there, said the Chief Minister.
