Chandigarh, January 27: Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal while presiding over a meeting to review the implementation of CM announcements here today directed the officers concerned to immediately conduct a study on the feasibility of every project announced under CM Announcements, along with expediting the work on the same.

"After conducting the required study of the projects, a separate list of the projects which have now become infructuous should be prepared to have a clear idea about the exact number of the pending announcements," directed Sh. Manohar Lal while reviewing various projects of five departments that are yet to complete the work of the projects announced under CM Announcements.

The list of the departments whose projects were reviewed by the Chief Minister in today's meeting includes, Public Works (Building and Roads), Development and Panchayats, Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare, Irrigation and Sports.

The Chief Minister further directed that in case of projects which require approval from Railways, all such projects should be immediately referred to Haryana Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd.

"As soon as the work of each project being executed under the CM Announcements is completed, the officer concerned after reviewing the same should also inform the local public representatives," directed the Chief Minister.

"In the projects where land is required to be purchased, it should be ensured that the purchase of land should be done through the e-bhoomi portal after doing a thorough study about the rates", added Sh. Manohar Lal.

Of 8315 Announcements, 5744 completed

During the meeting, the Chief Minister was apprised that a total of 8315 Chief Minister's announcements have been made between 2014-2021, out of which work on 5744  announcements have been completed which is around 73 per cent and 1527 are still in progress and 360 are not feasible and 687 are still pending.

Around 76 percent of projects executed by PW(B&R) completed

Divulging the details about the status of projects announced under CM Announcements that are being executed by Public Works(Building and Roads)Department, Additional Chief Secretary, Sh. Anurag Rastogi said that out of the total of 1120 announcements, only 114 are pending, hence the completion percentage of the announcements is around 76.23 percent. 148 projects are in progress.

Of 1623 announcements of the Development and Panchayat Department, 922 completed

Sharing the details about the status of projects announced under CM Announcements that are being executed by Development and Panchayats Department, Additional Chief Secretary, Sh. Amit Jha said that out of the total 1623 announcements only 128 are pending and the work on these would be completed soon. The completion percentage of the projects is around 60 percent. 485 projects are in progress.

Around 86 percent of projects executed by the Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Department competed

Similarly, regarding the status of CM Announcements executed by the Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Department, the Chief Minister was apprised that around 86 percent of the work has been completed. Out of the total 1408 announcements, 1179 has been completed and work on the rest would be completed soon and 133 projects are in progress.

Of total 599 announcements of Irrigation, 390 completed

Additional, Chief Secretary, Irrigation Department, Sh. Devender Singh, who had joined the meeting through video conferencing shared that out of the total 599 announcements, work of 390 is completed, which is around 68 percent. 128 projects are in progress.

64 projects of Sports Department completed 

Principal Secretary, Sports and Youth Affairs, Sh. A.K Singh while sharing the details about the work status of the projects announced under CM Announcements said that out of the total 146 projects around 50 percent are completed that is 64 and the rest would also be completed within the stipulated time frame. 31 projects are in progress.

In the meeting, Chief Secretary, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal, Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. D. S. Dhesi, Additional Chief Secretary,  Finance Department, Sh. T.V.S.N Prasad, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. V. Umashankar, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and Director General, Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Dr Amit Agrawal, Principal Secretary to Foreign Cooperation Department, Sh. Yogender Chaudhry also remained present.
