Chandigarh, February 13- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that under the Aspirational District Transformation Programme, all-round development of Nuh district would be done while focusing on all the key points and Nuh would be made a leading district in terms of development. He suggested that the officials of the concerned departments at the state-level as well as at the local level should work at a fast pace on the key points so that the public is able to get benefit of the government's schemes and programmes in a better manner. The Chief Minister was reviewing the progress of developmental works being done under the Aspirational District Transformation Programme at Nuh District on Sunday.
The Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister himself reviews the progress of this programme at regular intervals at the national-level. He elaborated that the primary focus of the Prime Minister is that the districts which are lagging behind in development should make progress and be brought forward. NITI Aayog also reviews the progress being made in the direction of health and nutrition, education, agriculture, financial inclusion, skill development and infrastructure strengthening in Nuh district under the Aspirational District Transformation Programme.
There is no dearth of budget for the development of Nuh district:
The Chief Minister said that there would be no dearth of budget for the development of Nuh district. The state government is working to take this district forward in every field.
Focus on quality education
The Chief Minister said that the government is conscious of providing quality education in the schools of Nuh district and effective steps are being taken to arrange teachers in the schools where there is a shortage. The government is working in a planned manner so that Nuh district does not lag behind in any way in the field of education.
Special attention should be given to health and nutrition
The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi has appreciated the progress made in the field of institutional delivery in Nuh district and efforts to start Girl Child Education, but more work is yet to be done for health and nutrition of children in Nuh district. For this, efforts should be made in a planned manner and expeditiously. Necessary infrastructure should be strengthened.
Explore possibilities for check dams
He said that a joint team of officers of Agriculture, Rural Development and Irrigation Department should explore possibilities for small check dams in Nuh district, as the area which is not covered by tube well or canal would be connected with micro irrigation system. Various NGOs are also ready to cooperate in this work. Haryana Pond and Waste Water Management Authority has also selected 230 ponds here for rejuvenation.
Add farmers under the Prime Minister's Fasal Bima Yojana
The Chief Minister said that farmers here should be added in maximum numbers under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana.
For this, the benefits of the scheme should be conveyed to the farmers so that the farmers can get the benefit of schemes with regard to loss of crops. To increase the production of crops, farmers should be educated through seminars.
Financial Inclusion, Skill Development and Infrastructure Strengthening
The Chief Minister said that under financial inclusion, people of Nuh district would be given its benefit by linking it with other schemes, including Mudra loan, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana. Youth will get skilled under various schemes for skill development. Besides this, work is also being done in a planned manner for the strengthening of other infrastructure.
In the meeting, Chief Secretary, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal and Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. D.S. Dhesi had joined through video conference and Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. V. Umashankar, Faridabad Divisional Commissioner, Sh. Sanjay Jun, IG Ravi Kiran, DC Ajay Kumar, SP Varun Singla, CM's Political Secretary Ajay Gaur, media coordinator Mukesh Vashisht and other heads of departments were present in Nuh.
