Chandigarh, February 27 - Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the state government is making tireless efforts to provide excellent, quality and employable educational facilities to the students of the state. The state government is determined to ensure Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao, Swachhta campaign, environment protection and free mock examinations in the State.
The Chief Minister was addressing as the chief guest on the occasion of annual ‘Alankaran Samaroh’ at Haryana School Education Board campus in Bhiwani today. Earlier, he inaugurated the ‘Swaran Jayanti Dwar’ of the Board and performed the Bhoomi Pujan of the multi-purpose Atal Auditorium and also laid the foundation stone of 24 new residential houses in the Board premises. Haryana Education and Forest Minister, Sh. Kanwar Pal presided over the programme and Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Minister, Sh. JP Dalal was also present on the occasion as a special guest.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that the first impression of any institution is judged by its main gate and this ‘Swaran Jayanti Dwar’ of the Board is grand and unique in itself. Along with education, art & culture will also be promoted as the plan of building auditoriums is on the cards. He said that according to the ancient system, the order of education should be ‘Shiksha, Pariksha and Diksha, and the government is contemplating implementing it in a profound manner. He added that in today's era the skill universities are the need of the hour and the state government has set up Haryana's first Skill University in Palwal.
He further added that the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 is going to bring revolutionary changes in the 21st century. In this policy, along with education and employment, the main goal is to make the students cultured and self-reliant, so that they make significant contribution in making India a Global Leader again. He said that along with technical education, emphasis is being laid on artificial intelligence as well to make education industry oriented. He said that the subject of skill development would be implemented compulsorily from class 9th to 12th so that youth of the state is self-reliant in all perspectives.
The Chief Minister said that the Haryana Board of School Education is making very meaningful efforts to track the unfair means used in examinations, which has yielded constructive results. He said that Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test would be conducted with latest technologies like Jammer, Biometric Attendance, Videography, CCTV etc. so that transparency in the examination system can be ensured.
He said that the four-storey multipurpose Atal Auditorium to be built in the Board premises would be unique in itself. In the memory of Former Prime Minister, Sh. Atal Bihari Vajpayee, this auditorium is being built for the purpose of carrying forward the educational activities. It will have a seating capacity of about 2000 people. The auditorium to be built on 12,239 square meters area and will be fully air-conditioned and equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The auditorium will be ready within the span of 2 years.
On this occasion, Education Minister, Sh. Kanwar Pal said that the steps taken to improve the functioning of the Board are commendable. The Accounts Wing of the Board's office has been fully computerized. In view of the convenience of the students, parents and general public, online application has been started on the Saral Portal. Facility for availing duplicate certificates, photocopies of answer sheets and migration certificates are now online through Antyodaya Saral Portal. To promote Sanskrit by the Board of Education, a Sanskrit cell has been constituted, under which part-II examinations of class 10th Purv Madhyamik and 12th Uttar Madhyamik will be conducted.
He said that in order to make the environment clean and pollution free, two marks of INA are being given separately in the examination for the students of class 10th and 12th by the schools under the tree planting campaign by the Board. It has been decided to give tablets to the students of class 11th and 12th across the state. The government has decided to buy about 5 lakh tablets, which will be given to the students studying in class 11th and 12th from the coming academic session.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister honoured 5 spokespersons with Sushila Smriti and 11 spokespersons by giving a certificate of appreciation and an amount of Rs. 5,100/- Along with this, Bhavna Saini, a student of district Hisar, who got 485 marks out of 500 marks in the written examination in the secondary examination year-2021, was awarded with Dr. Kalpana Chawla Award along with a citation, gold medal and cash amount of Rs. 51,000/-. Board Officer Smt. Santosh Kumari was awarded a citation by the Chief Minister for securing first, second and third position in various Paralympic competitions from time to time. Apart from this, Ishant, son of Shri Vikas Kumar, an employee of the Board, who was selected in the 8th class at Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun, was also honoured by the Chief Minister with a citation.
Member of Parliament, Sh. Dharambir Singh, MLA, Sh. Ghanshyam Saraf, Sh. Bishamber Valmiki, Deputy Commissioner, Sh. R.S. Dhillon, Superintendent of Police, Sh. Ajit Singh Shekhawat, Vice Chancellor of Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University, Murthal (Sonipat), Sh. R.K. Anayat, Vice Chancellor of Chaudhary Bansi Lal University, Bhiwani, Prof. R.K. Mittal, the Vice Chancellor of Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, Sh. B.R. Kamboj, Board President Prof. (Dr.) Jagbir Singh, along with the officers/employees of the Board were present on the occasion.
