Chandigarh, March 5 - Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that no person in the state would live below the monthly income of Rs. 15,000 and for this Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Melas are being organized in all the districts. He said that 11 lakh such families were identified and 160 such Melas were organized in December last year, and 3.5 lakh people have been benefitted through these Melas. Now the second phase of these Melas has started from March 2, in which at least 250 Melas will be organized and these Melas will be held till March 17, 2022.

The Chief Minister was addressing the people attending Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Mela organized at Gharaunda in Karnal district on Saturday.

Mukhyamantri Shato Udyami Sarathi Yojna launched in Haryana

The Chief Minister informed that ‘Mukhyamantri Shato Udyami Sarathi Yojana’ has been started in the state from today. For this, five experienced persons of the society would be appointed as guides over a group of every hundred families, who would help them to understand the scheme and take them forward. Such guides known as Sarthis who wish to serve the society would have to register themselves on the Samarpan Portal, said Sh. Manohar Lal.
The Chief Minister said that the beneficiary should start their business by taking a loan under the self-employment scheme.  The loan amount taken under this scheme should not be misused.

He said that families applying for loans through these Melas should use the loan amount to start a new business or expand the existing one. Such loans being provided at lower interest rates should not be used to buy houses and any luxury items, said the Chief Minister.

The government intends to help the poor

The Chief Minister said that there are two types of people in the society, poor and rich. Parivar Pehchan Patra is being made to identify those families who require economic upliftment. The data of eligible people have also been linked to Mukhyamantri Parivar Samridhi Yojana. Under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Jan Suraksha Bima, the premium amount is being paid by the State Government only.

Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Melas will prove a boon for the future generation

The Chief Minister said that the youth who pass the competitive examinations with good marks come in government jobs. Those who are not able to get a government job should come forward for self-employment. There are many self-employment schemes in the state, in which apart from imparting training, easy installment loans and subsidies are being given, added Sh. Manohar Lal.  He said that skilled people also have to opportunity of going abroad after taking training, where they are in demand. Now educated people are also adopting self-employment which will improve the next generation.

Approval Letters to 5 Beneficiaries

The Chief Minister gave loan approval letters of Rs. 23.88 lakh to 5 beneficiaries who had visited the Melas for doing various works namely, box making machine, animal dairy and cosmetic shop. Loan approval letter of Rs. 15 lakh was given to Kamaljeet, Rs 1.60 lakh to Vikas Kumar, Rs 2 lakh to Bala Devi, Rs 1.50 lakh to Reshma Devi and Rs 98,000 to Lokesh.

Apart from this, loan sanction letters worth about Rs.39 lakh were given to 20 similar beneficiaries.

Chief Minister inspected Antyodaya Mela

The Chief Minister inspected  all the stalls set up at the Mela and interacted with the beneficiaries who came to take advantage of the schemes. He directed the officials that no applicant should go empty handed, they should be given the benefit of some self-employment scheme.

MLA, Gharaunda, Sh.  Harvinder Kalyan while welcoming the Chief Minister said that the Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana started by the Chief Minister is such a unique scheme, in which poor people can become self-reliant by taking advantage of government schemes.

On this occasion, Karnal MP,  Sh. Sanjay Bhatia, Chairperson, Haryana Backward Classes Commission, Smt. Nirmala Bairagi, Mission Director, Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana, Sh. Mandeep Singh Brar, Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Anish Yadav, Superintendent of Police, Sh. Gangaram Punia also remained present.
