Chandigarh, March 22- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that he will not spare anyone found guilty in corruption cases. Stringent action will be taken against all such violators, whether it is an IAS officer or anyone else. The Chief Minister was addressing a press conference after the conclusion of the Budget Session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha on Tuesday. He said this in response to a question regarding naming of IAS officers involved in corruption case of Faridabad Municipal Corporation during the Calling Attention Motion.
On the allegation of corruption in Faridabad, Municipal Corporation, the Chief Minister said that a total of 9 cases have been registered, which are being investigated by the police or Vigilance. The Government is keeping a strict vigil on this, it is their effort to ensure that no innocent is trapped and the guilty shall not escape. The investigation of each case is going on intensively. One day ago, the report of an investigation has come to light, which is being studied. In this matter, Urban Local Bodies Minister, Dr. Kamal Gupta has also given a detailed reply in the House.
Park land belongs to Municipal Corporation, will fight the case up to the Supreme Court
Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the land of Kalpana Chawla City Park, Ballabhgarh belongs to the Municipal Corporation. Before being included in the Municipal Corporation, this land must have been under Shamlat Deh. Later the Patwari transferred the ownership of this land to some person. Because of this, the matter went to the Supreme Court and because of those papers; the Municipal Corporation lost the case. Now this matter has been raised in the Budget Session by the MLA with a clear intention to gain popularity, but the government will rectify this mistake and keep their side firmly in the Supreme Court. Action has also been taken against Patwari. This land belongs to the public and not to any particular person.
10 to 20 percent constructed colony can also be authorized
Responding to another question, the Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that earlier only colonies built up to 50 percent in cities were authorized, but he has removed this condition. Now the colonies built up to 10 to 20 percent will also be authorized. If such a colony is lying vacant, then its development charge will have to be paid to the builder. Where houses are built, they will have to pay a charge of 5 percent of the collector rate. He added that the registries done wrongly without NOC under the guise of 7-A between the years 2017 to 2021 have been investigated by the Government. In the House, he has announced that such registries, which took place between 2010 and 2016, will also be investigated.
Structural audit of buildings will now be mandatory
Responding to a question related to the Chintel Society of Gurugram, the Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that structural audit of the buildings will be mandatory so that such incidents do not happen in future. The license to Chintel Society was given by the Congress Government in the year 2007. Many more towers have been built by the same builder. The investigation of this case has been handed over to the CBI. Case study will also be conducted in case of buildings constructed without occupation certificate.
Action will be taken against those who convert religion under allurement
On the Prevention of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Bill, 2022 which is being repeatedly opposed by the Opposition, the Chief Minister said that the vested interests of Congress for minority seems to be reflected behind it. He said that a person can change religion as per own wish, but the conversion will not be allowed under any influence. Strict action will be taken if religious conversion is done under coercion or allurement. Although action is being taken against the accused under the IPC, but in view of the seriousness of the matter, a separate Act has been brought. Before Haryana, many other states have also passed a similar Act.
Congress had implemented the New Pension Scheme
Responding to a question, the Chief Minister said that the Congress had implemented the New Pension Scheme for the employees and today they are asking to close it. The Congress is raising such demand under the pressure of workers unions. If they were so concerned about the employees, then why did they bring the new pension scheme.
Welfare schemes of Government will reach the public
Replying to another question, Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that Congress MLA, Sh Amit Sihag has understood the basic mantra of Antyodaya and discussed it in the House as well. Due to Covid-19 pandemic, government welfare programmes could not be held for a long time. Now it will start with a rally from Tigaon from March 27. After this, a rally will be held in Safidon in April. Through this rally, the public will be apprised about the welfare schemes and achievements of the government. He said that the income of families with annual income below Rs 1 lakh would be increased. Employment fairs will be organized for them, through which loans will be given. A dedicated team of four to five persons would be engaged to advise the poor and small farmers on financial management.
Players getting medals will get jobs
Responding to a question, the Chief Minister said that players who bring medals under sportsperson quota will continue to get A, B, C and D category jobs as before. He clarified that under the ‘Padak Lao Pad Pao’ scheme, the number of medal winners is less while the number of players participating in the competitions remains high. Earlier, the government jobs were given on the basis of wrong graduation certificates, whose cases are now coming to light.
Haryana gets water conservation award
The Chief Minister said that Haryana has got the Water Conservation Award for securing the first position in the country. The Government is not going to end up with this achievement. Better steps will be taken for water conservation in future. In response to another question, the Chief Minister said that on March 25, he will attend the Oath Ceremony of the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand in Dehradun. After this, he will attend the oath ceremony of Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister in Lucknow.
