Chandigarh, April 1 – An impressive Sports Complex will soon be built in Wazirabad village of Gurugram district and it will be named after former Union Minister and Chief Minister, Late Rao Birender Singh.
Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal made this announcement while speaking at the inauguration of various projects to make HUDA City Centre Metro Station congestion-free in Gurugram here today.
The Chief Minister said that this Sports Complex of Wazirabad will be built on an area spanning 11 acres and it would cost about Rs 212 crore. He said that the outline of this Project is being prepared and the construction work will begin soon. Sharing details on the facilities likely to be available at this grand Sports Complex, Sh. Manohar Lal said that arrangements will be made for Multipurpose Hall, Indoor Games etc. Besides this, 18 sports faculties will be made available here.
The Chief Minister said that this Sports Complex of Wazirabad will be equipped with the latest sports facilities and will be having state-of-the-art facilities for the players.
After the inaugural programme, the Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal also went to see the site of Rao Birendra Singh Sports Complex in Wazirabad village. The Chief Minister along with the officials of Municipal Corporation Gurugram and District Administration reviewed the map of the Sports Complex and was also apprised about the sports facilities being provided at the Complex.
