Chandigarh, April 3– Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has said that all-round development is being done in every sphere of the State without any bias. Homogeneous development of the State is the main objective of the present government and there will be no shortage of money for this, he added. The Chief Minister was addressing a public meeting organised at Safidon in Jind district on Sunday.
The Chief Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stone of 18 projects worth about Rs 135 crore related to irrigation, electricity, sports, public health and public works Departments. Along with this, the Chief Minister also agreed to complete 92 development projects of the district at a cost of Rs 226 crore.
During the programme, the Chief Minister said that he is constantly striving for ensuring a developed and a corruption-free Haryana. There is no place for corruption in the State and those who do indulge in such activities will not be spared. Referring to the major ongoing projects in the State, he said that an 85-km long Kundli-Manesar Road has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 400 crore. The Chief Minister said he could not meet the people of Jind due to COVID, but now almost each and every person in Haryana has received the first dose and a large number of people have also received the second dose. Thus, the public meeting campaign has been stepped up. He said that Jind is the heart of Haryana and the people of Jind have given the government their blessings in the by-elections.
Under the Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana, the State has provided an amount of Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 2 lakh to 10 people of the district by linking them with schemes of various departments. Apart from this, BPL cards were given to 10 new beneficiaries of the district under the Public Distribution System, whose mapping has been done by Parivar Pehchan Patra. Similarly, 10 new beneficiaries were also honoured under Old Age Samman Allowance (Vridhavastha Samman Bhatta.). During this, Power Minister, Sh. Ranjit Singh, Sonepat's MP, Sh. Ramesh Chandra Kaushik, Jind MLA, Dr. Krishna Midha were present.
Addressing the public meeting, Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal announced several development projects for the district. He also asked to constitute a committee so as to set up a 50-bedded college for paramedics and a poultry farm in Safidon. He said that the schools of Narwana, Jind, Safidon would be upgraded while the sub-health centre in Bhutani and an amount of Rs 55 crore were also sanctioned for the 46 different roads connecting marketing board of the district. The Chief Minister also announced Rs 33 crore for 15 irrigation projects, Rs. 19 crore for drinking water scheme for Dalmwala and surrounding areas, Rs 57 crore for developing Safidon-Jind road. He also announced Rs 10 crore for Safidon Rest House and Rs 111 crore for 22 roads of Public Works Department in the district.
