Chandigarh, April 21- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal today chaired the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee meeting at Gurugram during which public grievances were heard and officials were directed to resolve them at the earliest.

During the meeting, the complaints regarding illegal slums and encroachments on government land were also raised before the Chief Minister on which Sh. Manohar Lal directed all the officers to ensure immediate removal of all illegal encroachments in their respective jurisdictions. Besides this, he also directed that the land given for public facilities should also be registered in the name of the department or government in the revenue records.  He directed all the agencies to work in coordination with each other.

While hearing a complaint about the illegal dumping of debris on the vacant plots in Saraswati Kunj Society and along the roadside and the matter of illegal mushrooming of slums and encroachment done on government land in Gurugram city, the Chief Minister directed the Estate Officer-II to remove all the encroachers from his jurisdiction within one month’s time.

The Estate Officer apprised the Chief Minister that earlier he had launched an encroachment drive to remove slums and now he will again run a campaign to get the encroachments removed.

While giving directions regarding the complaint related to Saraswati Kunj Society, the Chief Minister said that the Administration should ensure the construction of boundary walls around the plots after conducting a survey of it.

Directing the officers of the Municipal Corporation regarding the dumping of debris in the vacant plot, the Chief Minister said that a portal should be developed for receiving the complaint about the debris and the Municipal Corporation after charging the prescribed fee should ensure its lifting to the designated place within 24 to 48 hours.

Municipal Commissioner, Sh.  Mukesh Ahuja, who was present in the meeting, apprised the Chief Minister that recently the contract has been given to ILFS Company to lift the debris and the company will start the said work in the next 7 days.

Besides this, the Chief Minister also directed the officers concerned that with the help of CCTV cameras close vigil should be kept on those who are illegally dumping debris on roads. He further directed that police patrolling should be increased in those areas and fines should be imposed by challaning the defaulters.

Chief Minister’s visit becomes a Boon for girl students

Sh. Manohar Lal's visit to Gurugram today proved to be a boon for the girl students studying in Kanya Pathshala in Farrukhnagar. The matter of shortage of classrooms for girl students in this school was placed before the Chief Minister. After giving a patient hearing in the matter, Sh. Manohar Lal said that Haryana is the leading state in implementing 'Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao' campaign, therefore approval for the construction of a new building will soon be sought from the Education Department. However the construction work will be started in 20 days even before getting the final approval, he announced.

Smt. Kalpana Ranga, District Project Coordinator of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan apprised the Chief Minister that the building of this school is in a dilapidated condition and it was demolished. After conducting the survey the estimated amount of Rs. 1.60 crore for the new building has been sent to the headquarters.

Directions given to close two units at Gadoli Khurd

While hearing about the matter of pollution caused by two industrial units in the Aadi area of village Gadoli Khurd, the Chief Minister, gave immediate closure orders of both the units.

Regarding this case, the Haryana State Pollution Control Board officials said that after receiving the complaint regarding these units, an inspection was conducted in which it was found that these two units engaged in the work of washing jeans and clothes are polluting the water. These units are operating illegally without taking necessary permission and approval from the Pollution Control Board. Effluent treatment plants are also not installed in both units. These units have been given closure notices and permission for closure will be obtained from the Headquarters after the expiry of the notice period. However, the Chief Minister directed the officers concerned to ensure the closure of both the units soon after the meeting gets over.

During the meeting the issue of potholes on the village Gwal Pahari road and goods of building material suppliers lying on the approach road, causing blockage and pollution were also raised before the Chief Minister. Directing the officers of the Pollution Control Board regarding this complaint, Sh. Manohar Lal said that notices should be issued to the building material suppliers asking them to take measures to control pollution. He also directed the officials of Municipal Corporation Gurugram to get the road repaired at the earliest.

Munish Sharma, Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Nishant Kumar Yadav, along with other senior officers and nominated members of the committee also remained present during the meeting.
