Panipat, April 24- A new chapter has been added in Haryana’s history on Sunday, April 24, 2022, when 400th Prakash Purab of ‘Hind Ki Chadar’ Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji was celebrated with great pomp and reverence on the divine land of Panipat. In the state-level programme organised by the State Government, thousands of Sadh Sangat from across the country, including Haryana, Punjab had reached to seek Guru’s blessings.
The Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal was engrossed in prayers during the programme. He first bowed down before the pious Guru Granth Sahib Ji and sought Guru's blessings.
Sh. Manohar Lal said that the Gurus had sacrificed their lives for protecting the society and the country. When 500 Kashmiri Pandits reached Anandpur Sahib to meet Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur and apprised him about Aurangzeb's atrocities, then Guru Sahib said that we have to sacrifice a great man. On this, the son of Guru Sahib, 8-year-old, Guru Gobind Singh said that who would be a greater man than you and Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji then made the supreme sacrifice to protect the religion.
The Chief Minister said that the purpose of this programme is to inspire future generations with the life and ideals of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji which is full of love and sacrifice.
This programme was historic in itself as people of all religions and every section of the society, including the leaders of the Opposition, reached the Darbar Sahib and attended it.

The Governor of Uttarakhand, Lt Gen (Retd) Sh. Gurmit Singh said that he is very proud to be present in this grand function organised on the occasion of 400 Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji today. He said that Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji gave the message of service to humanity as well as protection of religion and sacrifice to the entire society. Guruji's messages are as relevant in today's time as they used to be then.
He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, the Haryana Government organised the celebrations on such a large scale on the occasion of 400th Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, which is historic in itself.
He said that the first Guru of Sikhs, Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji had established Sikhism in Kartarpur Sahib itself and the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi gave a gift to the Sangat by opening the Kartarpur Corridor.
Life of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji is inspirational for all of us- Dushyant Chautala
Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that the supreme sacrifice made by Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji is inspiring for all of us.
He said that in the year 1675, a delegation of Kashmiri Pandits reached Sri Anandpur Sahib at the Darbar of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji and told them they were forced to convert to Islam by the Mughal ruler and asked him to rescue them.
Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji then went to Delhi with Bhai Matidas, Bhai Sati Das and Bhai Dayala Ji and Aurangzeb's army took everyone captive. On refusing to convert religion, Bhai Matidas, Bhai Sati Das and Bhai Dayala ji were martyred in front of Guru Ji. Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji also sacrificed his head at Chandni Chowk in Delhi to protect the religion.
Haryana Government deserves appreciation for organizing such a grand State Level Function- Bhupinder Singh Hooda
Leader of Opposition and former Chief Minister, Sh. Bhupinder Singh Hooda, who attended the holy gathering, thanked the Haryana Government for organising such a grand programme on the 400th Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
He said that the life of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji was a unique example of sacrifice and love. He said that from Guru Arjun Dev Ji to the sons of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, all have sacrificed everything to protect the religion. He said that the Sikh Gurus always opposed the social evils like the practice of Sati to end caste discrimination.

Member of Parliament, Sh. Sanjay Bhatia said that this ceremony of 400th Prakash Purab of ‘Hind Ki Chadar’ Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji is divine. Rising above politics, the leaders of the opposition and the people from every section of the society across the state and country participated in this function, which is a matter of honour in itself. He expressed gratitude to Haryana Government which under the able leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has successfully organised this grand event.
On this occasion, Sh. Sanjay Bhatia also read out the written message of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi. In his message, the Prime Minister extended best wishes and congratulated the Haryana Government for organising the State-Level Function at Panipat on the 400th Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji showed us the path of ‘Guru Seva’ and ‘Jeev Seva’ and also gave the message of social harmony. Today our country is moving ahead with full devotion on the path shown by the Gurus and their ideals.
MP, Smt. Sunita Duggal also enchanted the entire Sadh Sangat by reciting Shabad Kirtan with devotion.
World famous Ragi and Dhadi participated in this mega event
On the occasion of the 400th Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, world famous Ragi and Dhadi participated. The head of the sect, Ragi Bhai Chamanjit Singh Ji Lal, Bhai Balwinder Singh Rangeela Ji, Bhai Davinder Singh Sodhi Ji, Bhai Gagandeep Singh Ji, Sri Ganganagar Ji enthralled the entire Sadh Sangat by Sahbad Path and Kirtans. At the same time, Dhadi Bhai Nirmal Singh Noor Ji also enriched the Sangat with Amritmayi Kirtan, Gurmat discourse and Guru Itihas.
