Chandigarh, May 4 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has today presented a gift of about Rs 700 crore to Rohtak district. The Chief Minister was addressing Pragati Rally at Jat College Ground in Rohtak today.  During this, more than 250 demands were placed in front of the Chief Minister by the local leaders in the rally, most of which were approved by the Chief Minister.

Addressing the rally, the Chief Minister said that 7 and a half years ago we had taken the task of changing the orthodox system in our hands and we followed the principle of Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas without discriminating against any region, caste or class.  He said that by starting Mission Merit in the state and ensuring to provide jobs to the eligible candidates, he tried to bring transparency by making uniform online transfer policy.

Will give 5 lakh Tablets to the students - Chief Minister

The Chief Minister said that on May 5, the state government would provide five lakh Tablets to the students studying in government schools of class X and XII.  Haryana will be the first state in the country to do so.  The Chief Minister said that we have to connect our youth with technology so that the dream of a prosperous India can be fulfilled.

Government offices will be shifted out of the city

Giving a big gift to Rohtak city, the Chief Minister announced that government offices would be shifted to 64 acres of municipal land on Sunariyan Road. Rs. 250 crore will be spent on this work.

Total gift of more than Rs. 700 crore to Rohtak

In the Pragati Rally, the Chief Minister gave more than Rs. 700 crore to Rohtak district, out of which Rs. 42 crore is for 12 works of Irrigation Department and Rs. 38 crore is for 18 roads of Marketing Board and 16 works of HSVP.  Sh. Manohar Lal also announced Rs. 120 crore for development works in urban areas of Rohtak district and Rs 102 crore for 5 blocks in rural areas.

Panchayat elections will be held soon

The Chief Minister said that in the Panchayat elections, directions have been received from the court and the legal hurdle in the way of elections has been removed.  In such a situation, Panchayat elections will be held soon in the state and these elections will be conducted as soon as the directions of the court are received for urban local body elections.  In the Pragati rally, Sh. Manohar Lal was greeted by various organizations and the state head was welcomed with a garland.

On this occasion Panchayat and Development Minister, Sh. Devender Babli was also present along with  other dignitaries.
