Chandigarh, July 22 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal on Friday launched the online service of issuance of Parivar Pehchan Patra based Backward Classes (BC) Certificates. With the launch of this service, people of the state do not have to make rounds of the government offices as getting these certificates has now become just a click away. The citizens will certainly be more benefited with this online service, added Sh. Manohar Lal.
After the launch of the online service, the Chief Minister said that so far the data of 22 lakh families belonging to Backward Classes have been registered on the Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP). Out of these, the income of 19 lakh families has been verified through PPP. Their data has been updated. These families can get their Backward Class Certificate made through Saral Portal.
The Chief Minister said that the work of income verification of the remaining families is still going on, while such families whose income verification is yet to be done and if they wish a backward class certificate, then will be able to apply for the same through the Saral portal as soon as their income gets verified. He said that after the verification, the certificates of all such families would be issued on a priority basis. The online BC certificates will have the Additional Deputy Commissioner's signatures, said Sh. Manohar Lal.

P.K Das, Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare Department, Dr. Sumita Misra, Principal Secretary, Urban Local Bodies Department, Arun Kumar Gupta, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. V. Umashankar, Chief Executive Officer, Haryana Parivar Pehchan Authority, Sh. Vikas Gupta, Managing Director, Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Ltd, Sh. P.C Meena, Secretary Finance, Ms. Sofia Dahiya, Additional CEO, Haryana Parivar Pehchan Authority, Sh. Yogesh Kumar and other senior officers also remained present during the meeting.
