Chandigarh, July 28 – A state level programme will be organized in Ratia on July 30 on the Shahidi Diwas of great revolutionary Shaheed Udham Singh, the brave son of India. Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal will attend the programme as the chief guest, for which all the preparations have been completed. Thousands of people from all over the state are expected to attend this programme, which will unite the society and the nation.
Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that Shaheed Udham Singh was a brave son of the country, who took revenge for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. On June 4, 1940, Udham Singh was convicted of murder and hanged on July 31, 1940 in Pentonville Jail. Sh. Manohar Lal said that this country will always remember the supreme sacrifice of Sardar Udham Singh and his dedication and sacrifice towards the motherland. Everyone should take inspiration from the martyrdom and sacrifice of such great revolutionaries to maintain the country's pride and come forward for nation building.
It is noteworthy that the Haryana Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, has taken the initiative to celebrate the anniversaries of great men at the state level. The Chief Minister believes that our saints-mahatmas, gurus and great men are not only our invaluable heritage but also our inspiration. The teachings of such great personalities are the heritage of the entire human society. We all have the responsibility to preserve and save their legacy. Therefore, under the 'Sant-Mahapurush Vichar Samman and Prasar Yojana', the Haryana Government is doing the work of taking the message of saints and great men to the people.
