Chandigarh, September 7- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has directed the officers that the work of linking Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) beneficiaries with Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) should be accelerated.
He said that the state government has fixed the annual income limit of Rs 1.80 lakh for availing of the benefits of all government schemes including the Ayushman Bharat scheme. Similarly, another category for those having annual income above Rs 1.80 lakh should also be fixed.
The Chief Minister was presiding over the meeting regarding linking the Ayushman Bharat beneficiaries with PPP and Mukhymantri Muft Ilaaj Yojana (MMIY).
The Chief Minister was apprised that on the basis of the socio-economic data of the 2011 census by the Central Government, the number of beneficiaries under the Ayushman Bharat scheme is 15.50 lakh families. Verified data of 25.85 lakh families is available by the Citizen Resource Information Department (CRID).
Under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, the Central Government and the State Government have an expenditure sharing ratio of 60:40. The National Health Authority has given permission to the State Government to have its logo on the Ayushman card.
The Chief Minister was apprised that 519 private and 174 civil hospitals have been empanelled for the Ayushman Bharat Scheme. Similarly, 28,78,429 cards have been issued and 9,33,489 Ayushman families have been identified and claim worth about Rs. 539 crore have been paid so far. Besides this, the State Government has paid an amount of Rs. 186 crore as a premium for Ayushman Yojana.
The State Government has also proposed to include Anganwadi workers, Asha workers, Denotified Nomadic tribes and beneficiaries of Mukhyamantri Parivar Samridhi Yojana, workers registered under the Haryana Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Chowkidars, Lambardars, dependents of soldiers of Azad Hind Fauj, dependents of soldiers of World War-II, the families of jailed during Emergency, people involved in Hindi movement and accredited media personnel under the Ayushman scheme. Besides this, under this scheme, a treatment facility of up to Rs. 3 lakh will also be given to Persons with Disabilities.
The Chief Minister further directed the officers concerned that work of distribution of Ayushman should be done at the earliest by holding special camps.
