Chandigarh, September 13- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal ensures that no person will remain homeless across the state. The main objective of the state government is to provide shelter to every poor and needy person of the state.

The Chief Minister was presiding over the review meeting of the central government schemes implemented in the state.

On this occasion, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) Urban and Rural, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana Urban and Rural, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, Kisan Credit Card Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Svanidhi Yojana, Direct Benefit Transfer Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Gati Shakti Yojana, New National Education Policy, One District One Product (ODOP) and Amrit Sarovar Mission were reviewed and directions were given to take necessary steps accordingly.

After taking precise information about the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal directed the officers to prioritize the work of providing shelter to homeless and landless people in the state. He said that he is worried about such poor people in the state. He urged the concerned officers to make  adequate arrangement of providing houses to all needy people. He further said that there should be no halt in construction work of houses due to shortage of funds. He directed the officers to expedite the construction work and said that they should set monthly targets and under the said scheme, the work of 100 percent survey should also be completed at the earliest.

While reviewing the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, the Chief Minister said that all the link roads connecting village to village should be completed and the target given by the Central Government should be completed in a stipulated time frame.  He further directed to make an adequate mechanism under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana so that every beneficiary can get complete benefits under the scheme.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister was apprised that Haryana's DBT scheme is leading in the entire country. Under this scheme, 150 schemes have been linked with DBT and Aadhaar.  These schemes include 94 schemes of the state and 56 schemes of the central government.  The Chief Minister further directed to expedite the works being done under the Pradhan Mantri Gati Shakti Yojana.

On this occasion, Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Sh. D. S Dhesi, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. V. Umashankar, Finance Commissioner, Sh. V. S Kundu, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance and Planning, Sh. Anurag Rastogi, Additional Chief Secretary, Industries and Commerce, Sh.  Anand Mohan Sharan, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Dr. Amit Agrawal, Principal OSD to Chief Minister, Sh. Neeraj Daftuar, and other senior officers were present.
