Chandigarh, September 20 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that Haryana has been constantly working to flourish new heights in the field of tourism. To promote tourism in the state, many development projects are underway, out of which some are about to be completed soon. These development works will attract tourists from across the country and abroad towards Haryana.
The Chief Minister said that the birthplace of Gita, Kurukshetra is a confluence of faith and tourism. Recently, the 'Virat Swaroop' statue of Lord Krishna was unveiled in the holy pilgrimage Jyotisar. Shortly a 3D projection mapping show will also be set up at this place. Its work is almost completed. The show will be inaugurated in the coming days. The Chief Minister said that episodes related to Mahabharata and Shrimad Bhagavad Gita will be shown. For this, cutting-edge technology like Augmented Reality, Holographic Images, Robotics and Drones etc. will be used.
The Chief Minister said that a light and sound show is shown at Jyotisar shrine since 2019. Apart from this, the government has also built a Parikrama path of Jyotisar pilgrimage. Lighting work has also been done on the shrine and a wall has also been constructed to protect the ancient banyan tree. The Chief Minister said that Kurukshetra is the centre of spirituality, the government is working diligently on its development.
Project of Rs. 52 crores related to Adi Badri sent to the Central Government
The Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that a project worth Rs. 52 crores related to Adi Badri shrine located in Yamunanagar has been sent to the Tourism Department of the Central Government. In the next few days, the Central Government team will reach Adi Badri for evaluation. Apart from this, a project has been made for the restoration of the fort in Lohgarh, the capital of Bahadur Sikhs. Work is under process at this sight, he added.
State Government looking forward to organise one more fair in Surajkund
The Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the state government is looking forward to organize one additional fair at Surajkund in Faridabad. In this regard, the Haryana Government has held discussion with the Union Ministry of Culture. Soon work will be done to organize an additional fair in Surajkund. The Chief Minister said that this would attract more tourists to Delhi and nearby areas, which would increase the income of the local people.
Delegation of Aga Khan Foundation from Zurich will soon come to Haryana for the renovation of Yadavindra Garden
The Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the Yadvindra Garden located in Pinjore is one of the few remaining gardens of traditional era. An agreement has been signed with Aga Khan Foundation for its renovation. Soon a team from Zurich is reaching Haryana. A decision in this regard will be taken after meeting with them. Keeping in mind the Morni and Tikkar Tal etc, a home stay policy has been made.
The Chief Minister said that the State Government is continuously making efforts to promote tourism in the state. In this regard, strict directions have been given to the concerned departments to complete all the projects related to tourism. These are also being evaluated from time to time, he added.
