Chandigarh, September 25 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that by April 2023, the birth centenary year of Guru Sudarshan Ji is being celebrated. The Haryana Government is running the Sant Vichar Prasar Yojana to take the thoughts of the saints to the masses. Under this scheme, a programme will be organized by the government in the memory of Guru Sudarshan Ji in his birth centenary year. This announcement was made by the Chief Minister at the Guru Sudarshan Vishal Janam Shatabdi Mahotsav organized in Rohtak.

Keeping in view the demand raised by the public support in the programme, the Chief Minister also announced to name the road from Mata Darwaza Chowk to Babra Chowk in Rohtak after Guru Sudarshan Ji. He said that Guru Sudarshan Ji as a torchbearer showed the right direction to the society. His ideas will also be considered for inclusion in the academic curriculum. He also expressed his gratitude to the sant samaj who attended this programme.

He said that the government is organizing continuous programmes to ensure the ideas and thoughts of saints are widely spread among people. In this series, Prakash Parv of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Prakash Parv of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Prakash Parv of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji were marked in the State as a huge festivals. Apart from this, programmes were also celebrated by the government on Maharshi Valmiki Jayanti, Sant Kabir Jayanti, Guru Ravidas Jayanti.

Tribute paid to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya

Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal paid tributes to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on his birth anniversary. He said that revered Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya ji was an exceptional thinker, pioneer of ‘Integral Humanism’ and Antyodaya philosophy. He added that he will always be a source of inspiration for all of us. Haryana Government is following the path of Antyodaya given by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya.

The Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the Haryana Government has tightened the noose on the cases of foeticide. The Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi had started the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign from Haryana. After this, the government conducted continuous awareness programmes which have yielded outstanding results. He said that earlier in Haryana there were 851 girls per 1000 boys but today this figure has reached 920. The government is continuously working in this direction. The Chief Minister also extended greetings on the International Daughter's Day observed today.

The Chief Minister said that it is necessary to follow the path shown by saints and great visionary souls. He said that the ‘sanskars’ of our mind change only when we stay in the company of saints and after listening to their discourses; we implement them in our lives.
