Chandigarh, November 13- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal today attended and paid obeisance as the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony of the 76th Annual Diwan organized in the memory of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur at Hansi, Hisar. While addressing a large number of devotees at the Diwan, he said that such gatherings should be held frequently, so that not only the future generation gets inspiration from the life of such great personalities, but it also infuses new energy, strength, and spirit into the society.

The Chief Minister stated that he certainly attends such events whenever he gets the opportunity. He said that when we read about the life of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur or see his life depicted through drama showcased by artists or listen to hymns prepared on his life, it gives us a pause and makes us realize their sacrifice in a real sense.

Baba Banda Singh Bahadur courageously raises the flag of independence by putting an end to slavery in the nation, fighting the Mughals, and defending our culture. In addition to giving his own martyrdom, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur took revenge for the martyrdom of the Guru's sahibzadas. He also offered his son’s sacrifice for society. His life is full of inspiration and sacrifice.

Hansi should be developed with a historical point of view

Sh. Manohar Lal said that Hansi has an inspiring history of its own. Hansi was the capital of Maharaj Prithviraj Chauhan, he fought all the battles from Hansi. We hear the story of Hansi's Lal Sadak, and how citizens offered their sacrifices. Along with this, everyone has also heard the stories of the martyrdom of Rohnat village. He said that Hansi has its own historical significance which should be developed, therefore, a memorial is being built in Lohagarh and a martial arts school is also being established.

Preach the teachings of Guru Granth Sahib to ensure that the future generation receives the guru's teachings, says the chief minister

Sh. Manohar Lal said everyone should preach the teachings of Guru Granth Sahib to ensure that the future generation receives the guru's teachings. For this, where there is no gurudwara, efforts should be made to construct a gurudwara and in this work complete help will be provided by the state government. Along with this, books exhibition on his life, arts, songs, bhajans, and seminars should also be organized to teach the new generation about the life of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur.

Such gatherings increase harmony and brotherhood in society

The Chief Minister stated that such spiritual programmes should be frequently organized more than once a year. Different committees should be formed and responsibility should be given to them. He said that such gatherings should also be held in Lohgarh, the capital of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur because such gatherings increase harmony and brotherhood in the society and every possible help will be provided by the government in this work.
