Chandigarh, November 20: Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that during the next one year, development works worth Rs. 2.5 thousand crore will be completed by Faridabad Metropolitan Development Authority (FMDA) Faridabad. Construction of new roads between Faridabad to Noida is an important project in these development works. 

While addressing a public gathering  on Sunday after inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of the development projects completed by FMDA in the last one year, the Chief Minister said that in order to connect the eastern and western parts of Faridabad city, link roads including two underbridges will soon be constructed at a cost of Rs. 300 crore. He said that 12 new rain wells will be installed and the functioning of 64 old tube wells will be reviewed to ensure clean drinking water system in the city. He said that the construction of the road from Faridabad to Jewar Airport would also be started soon which will benefit the citizens of Faridabad.

He said that 50 new e-buses would soon be on roads to strengthen the public transport facility in the city.

He said that a new bus terminal with state-of-the-art facilities will be constructed in Sector-61 of the city. He said that besides this, any public development work raised by the local MP, MLA, Councillors, Sarpanches, Panches or any other public representative will soon be ensured. Dedicating the other development works to the people of the city, the Chief minister said that the beautification work of 8-acre park in Sector 22-23 of the city will soon be done by the Municipal Corporation. He said that the beautification work of Baba Hirdaya Ram Kund will also be done soon. He said that Gurugram to Faridabad are the highest revenue generating districts in the state and the development works of these cities will be taken on priority basis. He said that many other cities including Hisar, Panchkula, Sonipat, Rohtak are also expanding and the government is constantly paying attention to the development of these cities as well. 

The Chief Minister said that no laxity will be tolerated in the development works of the city. He said that some erring officials have been identified and strict action will be taken against those found involved in such malpractices in future. He said that a special campaign was also launched in the state against gangsters and those involved in malicious tactics.

The Chief Minister said that after constituting FMDA to ensure dynamic development in Faridabad, there is no need to send files to Chandigarh for the approval of development works in Faridabad. He said that FMDA is continuously working for the development of Faridabad, the results of which will soon be available to the public. Many development projects will be started in Faridabad by FMDA in the coming times.

On this occasion, Transport Minister, Sh. Mool Chand Sharma said that Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has always kept Faridabad city on priority in the list of development works. On dedicating various development works to the people of Sector 22-23, he said that Ballabhgarh assembly constituency is a major part of the state and thousands of people here will get the benefit of clean drinking water. 

Expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister, Badkhal, MLA, Smt. Seema Trikha lauded the work of the construction of boosting station in Lakkarpur. FMDA, CEO, Sh. Sudhir Rajpal also welcomed all the guests and presented the road map for the next development works.

On this occasion, Faridabad, MLA, Sh. Narender Gupta, Tigaon MLA, Sh. Rajesh Nagar, Prithla MLA, Sh. Nayan Pal Rawat, Police Commissioner, Sh. Vikas Kumar Arora, Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Vikram and other dignitaries were present.
