Chandigarh, December 30: Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal expressed deep condolences on the demise of Smt. Heeraben Modi, mother of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi. The Chief Minister paid homage to Smt. Heeraben Modi on behalf of the Haryana government. He prayed to the Almighty to give a place to the pious soul at his feet.

Paying homage to Smt. Heeraben Modi, who devoted 100 years of Karmayogi and ascetic life at the feet of God, Sh. Manohar Lal said that he salutes the great mother who gave birth to a personality devoted to the country like Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi. With the inspiration of the mother, the Prime Minister is taking the country forward and making the country proud globally.

He said that the way the mother raised the Prime Minister and his family in poverty; it is inspiring. The Chief Minister said that Smt. Heeraben Modi was a symbol of simplicity and her struggling and virtuous life will always be remembered. Remembering Smt. Heeraben Modi, Sh. Manohar Lal said that a mother has a special place in any person’s life and the death of a mother leaves such a void in life; which is impossible to fill. “My heartfelt tribute to her. May God give a place to the virtuous soul in his holy feet,” he said.
