Chandigarh, January 14 - Haryana Chief Minister while interacting with the Gram Sanrakshak during the 'Gram Sanrakshak Samvad Programme' held here today through audio-conferencing directed them to visit the villages adopted by them and review the work being executed at the grassroots level.

“After reviewing the work, every Gram Sanrakshak should share the feedback report of all these works with the Government so as to ensure that the concerned departments should have real-time information about these development works,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.

During this Samvad programme which lasted for about 1.30 hours, the Chief Minister while reviewing the works and responsibilities assigned to these Class-I officers said that working beyond the call of duty is what really defines an officer, therefore along with professional duties, every Gram Sanrakshak should also be always ready for making pivotal contributions for serving the society as well.

Sh. Manohar Lal said that the development path of any state passes through the villages and when the villages will be developed, only then proper development of the state will be ensured. Therefore, the Gram Sanrakshak should especially take the stock of the development works being done in the villages at regular intervals, said the Chief Minister.

After reviewing the works of parks, Vayamshalas, Anganwadi centres, boundary wall, water system, shed and paved way etc. in the cremation ground under Shivdham Yojana, every Gram Sanrakshak should upload the report on https://intrahry.gov.in  portal, directed the Chief Minister.

“Besides this, every Gram Sanrakshak should also meet the families having an annual income of Rs. 25,000 and share their details with us, so that the government can make special efforts to bring such families into the mainstream. Through the Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana, special camps will be organized to provide employment to the members of such families, so that their standard of living can be improved,” he added.

The Chief Minister said that meetings of Gram Sabha should be organized at least 6 times a year. Gram Sanrakshak should organize these meetings to establish coordination with the village Sarpanches.  Through these meetings, they should also make the villagers aware of welfare schemes being run by the government.
