Chandigarh, January 21 - Haryana Chief Minister, while interacting with the new employees engaged through Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam (HKRN) during audio-conferencing held here today said that the HKRN has been set up to end the exploitation of contractual employees. He called upon all the employees to discharge their duties honestly and conscientiously.
During the interaction, the employees expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister and said that they have received job offers on the basis of merit and with complete transparency.
“Through this Nigam, the government has made such a transparent system under which it is being ensured that the employees get EPF and ESI benefits along with getting a timely salary,” said the Chief Minister.
Sh. Manohar Lal said that time and again the government has been receiving complaints from contractual employees that they do not get their salaries on time, nor do they get the benefits of EPF and ESI.
“Gradually the outsourcing system became bogus and this was when we decided to constitute HKRN to address all these complaints. Through this Nigam, manpower is being made available in government departments, board and corporations in a transparent manner. The selection of employees is done purely on merit. Special emphasis is being laid on first providing employment to the needy,” added Sh. Manohar Lal.
He informed the last two months, 3297 employees have been engaged through HKRN. These mainly include TGT, PGT, Driver, Ayush Yoga Assistant and Lineman.
The Chief Minister said that reservation for SC, OBC etc. category has been taken care of while engaging employees through HKRN. So far, 30.7 percent employees engaged belong to the SC category. Earlier contractual employees were hired at the DC rate. Due to different DC rates in different districts, there were some problems. Now the monthly payment has also been regularized in HKRN. The data of employees already engaged through contractors in various departments, boards and corporations have also been ported to HKRN. Now, the total number of employees under the Nigam has crossed 97,000, shared Sh. Manohar Lal.
He said that the jobs provided through Nigam are on a temporary basis, and candidates must apply for regular recruitment as well. These employees will get the benefit of experience. Half a mark will be added for every year of experience, he informed.
Recently the Common Eligibility Test (CET) for Group C has been conducted and soon 35,000 posts of Group C will be filled. After this soon CET exam will be conducted for Group D posts as well, said Sh. Manohar Lal.
Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. D S Dhesi, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Dr. Amit Agrawal, Deputy Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. K. Makarand Pandurang, Political Advisor to Chief Minister, Sh. B. B. Bharti and other officers also remained present on this occasion.
