Chandigarh February 20: Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal informed that ESI Health Care, Haryana is providing comprehensive medical services to 25 lakh insured persons working in organized sectors and their family members through 7 ESI Hospitals (4 ESIS and 3 ESIC), 3 Ayurvedic units, 1 Mobile and 85 Dispensaries across the state.

While apprising about the ESI Health Care facilities to Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Changes and Labour and Employment, Sh. Bhupender Yadav during a meeting of ESI Health Care Haryana here today, Sh. Manohar Lal informed that new dispensaries have been functional at Kurukshetra and Taraori. The dispensary opened at Jhadli will also be functional soon. 

The Chief Minister expressed gratitude to Sh. Bhupender Yadav and said that the Government has given Administrative Approval for construction of six new 100 bedded ESI Hospitals at Hisar, Rohtak , Sonipat Ambala , Karnal and Panchkula.

Union Minister, Sh. Bhupender Yadav and chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal directed the officers to identify the suitable location and land for setting up ESI hospitals in a time bound manner so as to expedite the construction plan of proposed ESI hospitals in the state.

The Chief Minister further said that Haryana is ahead of all other states which has been possible by strengthening the medical care facilities for the public in the state. He also expressed gratitude on the administrative approval for opening of 14 new ESI dispensaries at Karnal , Rohtak , Jhadli , Ganaur , Mullana , Gharaunda , Farukhnagar , Kosli , Saha, Chhachhrauli , Pataudi , Bhuna , Charkhi Dadri & Uklana Mandi.

It was apprised in the meeting that in-principal approval from ESI Corporation, New Delhi has been received only for ESI dispensaries Rohtak, Pataudi and Jhadli (out of 14). Possession of the Buildings for the ESI Dispensaries Charkhi Dadri , Rohtak and Jhadli has been taken and Dispensaries will be functional soon.

The Chief Minister apprised that Employee State Insurance (ESI), Haryana is a contributory social security scheme for the organized sector covering the units having 10 or more employees drawing pay up to Rs. 21000 -per month. He said that 109 private hospitals have been empanelled for providing medical facilities secondary care services on cashless basis for ESI beneficiaries in the state.

It was apprised in the meeting that land measuring 8.70 acre has been procured by ESIC for new 500 beds ESI Hospital at Manesar and land measuring 18793.27 sq meter (4.64 acre) has been identified and allotment letter has been issued by Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) for expansion of 163 beds to 500 beds ESIC hospital at Gurugram.

The Chief Minister apprised the Union Minister that ESI Dispensary Rai is presently running in the Health department building. The ESI dispensary at Rai to be constructed at Sector 38, Phase II, Industrial Estate, Rai, Sonipat would cater to an IP population of 28010 within its catchment areas of Rai Industrial area, Nathupur, Bazidpur Saboli and parts of Bahalgarh Industrial area.

It was also apprised in the meeting that the concept plan of setting up ESI Dispensary at Barhi, Ganaur Block in Sonipat approved by ESI Corporation would cater to an IP population of 8347 within its catchment areas of Barhi Industrial area, Ganaur and full stretch of NH44 upto Samalakha . If the family members are included, then a total number of 31,720 beneficiaries would benefit from this dispensary.

It was also apprised that Haryana is soon comping up with a world's largest Aravali Safari Park to be developed at 10,000 acres of land in the state where visitors can enjoy activities such as Safari rides, entertainment zones, eco villages, nature walks, dining and leisure. This park would be completed in comping five years and the work would be done in a phased manner.

Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. V. Umashankar, Additional Chief Secretary, Labour Department, Sh. Raja Sekhar Vundru, Additional Chief Secretary, Forests and Wildlife, Sh. Vineet Garg, Deputy Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. K. Makarand Pandurang and other senior officers were present in the meeting.
