Chandigarh, February 26: Under the leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, the state government is adopting the policy of zero tolerance on corruption. With the strong policies of the state government against corruption, transparency and good governance have been strengthened in government work.

Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the best way to eliminate corruption is to reduce human intervention and that is why the state government has ensured e-governance through portals with emphasis on digitization. The fight against corruption has become even more decisive as India assumed the G-20 presidency. Haryana has got the hosting of the first Anti-Corruption Working Group meeting under the G-20 Summit; to be held in Gurugram from March 1 to 4. On this occasion, information about Haryana government's Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) and IT-based welfare schemes will also be displayed.

In accordance with its vision to ensure speedy delivery of services to the citizens by using information technology in the government system, the state government under the guidance of the Chief Minister has implemented an ambitious scheme like Parivar Pehchan Patra; through which any citizen is able to take benefits of government schemes and services by sitting at home through online medium. The state government formed PPP to bring transparency in the system and eliminate middlemen, so that ineligible people could not take advantage of any scheme in the wrong way and corruption could be curbed.

The main objective of the state government is to provide relief to the people by establishing a paperless, faceless and transparent system. Following its principle of ‘Maximum Governance, Minimum Government’, the Manohar Lal-led state government has made many citizen centric services online. The state government has started the exercise of giving online ration cards to BPL families. Now, the citizens do not have to visit different departments to get their family's ration card made as through Parivar Pehchan Patra; eligible families are automatically getting ration cards online without applying.

At the same time, the state government has started an online Fard service for the convenience of the farmers. The farmers are receiving the digitally signed Fards (copy) of Jamabandi (land record) from the portal. With this, their problems have reduced and the scope of corruption has also come to an end. Apart from this, the government has launched the Haryana Engineering Works Portal to get the development works done in a quality and timely manner. This will make the entire tender process paperless and transparent.

The Chief Minister opines that corruption is a big evil and the country has to be kept away from it. The fight against corruption is the fight for the future and that is why everyone has to fight this together. Taking forward this vision of the Chief Minister, the Anti-Corruption Bureau is continuously striking corruption. Under the leadership of the Chief Minister, the State Vigilance Bureau was renamed to Anti Corruption Bureau, making it more empowered.
